Arijohan was our waiter, excellent service, very attentive, all the food was amazing, the music by the dj was fantastic. All in all I don’t have enough stars to show how amazing this place was Gracias!

I was caught between a 3 and 4 start review, so maybe this is better reflected by 3.5 stars. This was our first experience of an all inclusive resort, and it not being our typical type of vacation, we were quite happy with things overall. It was my wife and I as well as well as our 4 year old and 8 month old, and we paid ~$6500 for a swim up room with separate bedroom and living room for 7 days over the 4th of July (US) holiday. The hotel resort was quite extensive and we made ample use of all the pools and water park, which was by far the best feature of the resort. The food was good, but not great and I was hoping for a bit more authentic mexico food and even mexico street food, which was lacking (too many wings and burgers for lunch). I was expecting the up-selling of premium items to be more prominent, but gratefully it was quite benign. The rooms were spacious and had most features, but were also lacking some basics. We were provided with a small kitchen and sink, but no hand soap, dish soap, cutlery or hand/dish towels. The mini-bar was also not regularly restocked (excluding the exception for the day of lockdown during the hurricane which is understandable). The rooms and the swim up pool area were a bit run down, but not severely, with some damage to the balcony stairs and pool tiles, missing cushions for outdoor chairs and missing towels/mats for the balcony which became dangerously slippery when wet. We did have a concierge assigned to us, and this was very useful for making dinner reservations, however it wasn't much use for anything else. The beach area is also nice and the resort team does clear the seaweed on the beach each morning. There are beach lounge chairs, umbrellas and a small bar that sells drinks (but not snacks). I will commend the Resort on their response to Hurricane Beryl. Anything at risk of blowing in the wind was locked down, there was good communication from the hotel and we only had sporadic power loss that didn't last more than a couple minutes. Thankfully most of the workers we spoke with were also safe in their surrounding homes and no major damage was reported. If you enjoy all inclusive resorts, maybe this is a reasonable experience for this price, but I am not completely convinced and am dubious if we will do an all inclusive again.
