My partner and I went to this resort during the last few days of our almost month-long trip through Mexico to completely relax before heading home. Upon arrival, we found it spectacular. The facilities were very well maintained, with a modern and upscale feel. It's in an excellent location, with a very nice beach despite the sargassum. The pool area has a section with music and another for quiet, where we spent most of our time, and it was our favorite part. The food at the Hadar buffet was also exquisite; the other restaurants and bars were somewhat mediocre. The room was fine, and the cleaning service was excellent; however, there was a strong musty smell coming from the shower, which no one could have noticed beforehand. Also, many of the light switches in the room didn't work for charging devices. On the downside, we also requested room service twice through the app and never received it. Similarly, we called reception once to request a hairdryer because the one in our room was broken, and we didn't get a response. Regarding the hotel service, as with everything in life, it was very inconsistent. I think that because it's an all-inclusive resort, many of the staff lose their care and attention when serving guests, which is quite unpleasant. I should add that once, at lunchtime, we left our things on the towels so they wouldn't be taken. When we returned, we found that the towels had been taken, and a pair of Burberry sunglasses had disappeared along with them… Despite mentioning it to the reception, cleaning, security, and pool staff, no one ever heard anything about the sunglasses again 🤔🤔😂😂 They literally washed their hands of it, obviously our fault for leaving our things there. Is it worth staying at this resort? I don't think so… it's definitely not worth the price. Although we enjoyed our stay, I think there are many areas for improvement and smaller, cheaper places with better service to stay.

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and it does not disappoint. We felt that this was an overall much better resort than some we have stayed at costing 50-100% more. The rooms are excellent, the meals and restaurants are almost universally good, and the staff are superb. The only slightly disappointing meals were the Pasta at Capella (however the Pizzas were superb) and the general menu and meals at Flora, which were OK, but not outstanding. Stand outs were Lemon Fish, Blue Agave and Cielo. I had read that the latter was disappointing - this was not our experience, but perhaps people are expecting Tex-Mex and not really well prepared, presented and tasty latin food. Tip: ask the restaurant staff for their favorites and you will not be disappointed. Staff to mention: Ricki at Cielo, Enrique at the Teppanyaki, Adolpho at Tori, Arturo at Blue Agave, and Adrian at Capella.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay at this resort. The service is excellent, the food is generally very good, and I had a great time attending the various workout classes and activities that were scheduled. I can't remember all of the employees names who made our experience what it was but shout out to Nesto and Vasty for the great workouts and Bryan from the activities team for keeping us entertained!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I honestly fell in love with this place. The service was impeccable and the food was great. (Not your typical resort food, the real deal) A big thank you to Adrian 🫶🏻

Muy bien logrado el ambiente para adultos. Sofisticado y bonito.

I can’t speak highly enough of the Paradisus La Perla, everything from beginning to end was of the highest class; the staff friendly and attentive, the location and building are beautiful and airy and the food from the buffet to every restaurant serve delicious food in amazing quality and quantity. The one blight on the otherwise perfect vista is the Sal Steak Cave, and here, while they were keen to point out that they were separate to the resort, served ridiculously overpriced steaks, drinks (including water) and vegetables with an antipathy which was inverse to the price. I would encourage everyone to come and enjoy this wonderful resort but steer clear of the Steak Cave as if their life depended on it, the bitter taste was not just due to the undercooked brussel sprouts! But despite our poor experience at the steak cave the service elsewhere was of the highest order, in particular Sharia, Paloma and Felicitas at the Hadar restaurant and Francisco at the Flora restaurant who were all so welcoming and attentive.

Beautiful property in jungle setting. You do drive through sketchy areas to get there. Rooms were classy and spacious but if you stay poolside the DJ plays loud music until 7 when the pool and the poolbar shuts down. Food was great overall but Sal steakhouse was extra charge and service was very very slow. Staff was excellent, especially Viktor working the beach. There are free cabanas around the Quiet Pool so take advantage if you have the chance. You also have access to family side which had more restaurants/pools and chairs. We had a couple issues with our room initially but they were quick to resolve and offered a credit for the trouble. Highly recommend, worth it!

Stayed 9 nights at Paradisus La Perla. This review is based on what the resort claims to be, not on the standards of a generic all-inclusive. I tried every restaurant on the property except the buffets, so this is not based on one bad meal. The main issue is the mismatch between the marketing and the actual experience. Paradisus La Perla clearly wants to present itself as an upper-premium resort, especially once La Reserva and other exclusive tiers are involved. In practice, it does not consistently deliver at that level. The facilities were probably very nice at one point, but they are showing wear around the edges now, and some repairs looked mediocre rather than polished. Food was mid overall. Santé, the La Reserva exclusive restaurant, was the best option we had, but it only serves breakfast and lunch. That left dinner as a weak point relative to the resort’s positioning. Room service was also underwhelming. Across the restaurants, quality was inconsistent enough that some desserts even tasted stale. The cannoli was especially bad. Service was inconsistent, and Capella was the clearest example. We waited 30 minutes for a reserved table, then another 15 minutes just to get drinks, then another 30 minutes for salads. A standard three-course dinner ended up taking almost three hours. That is not an isolated inconvenience. At a resort positioning itself as premium, that is a service failure. The family-side restaurants were also consistently the worst for us, and even with reservations we repeatedly had to wait. The upselling was excessive and distracting. Circle membership, spa packages, excursions, and premium menu items were pushed too aggressively throughout the stay. That constant sales pressure took away from the experience. The Circle exclusive menu items were particularly poor value. I ordered the cowboy steak expecting something that matched the premium upcharge and description. What arrived was fine, but not impressive, and nowhere near what I expected for the price. This is not a terrible resort, and I can see why some guests rate it well if they are comparing it to standard all-inclusives. But if you are judging it against the level of dining, service, and polish its branding suggests, it falls short. For me, it was a 6/10 experience because the resort overpromised relative to what it actually delivered.

This is my 2nd time at Paradisus La Perla - everything is perfect. We’ve come to know several staff here and love them: especially Christopher the pool concierge. He goes ABOVE and beyond, providing great service while also getting to know us during our stay & spending time with us. We also greatly appreciated Ernesto as our pool server this week, who took great care of us. The rooms are comfortable & lovely, food service at every restaurant is great. Our favorite restaurant this year was the Hibachi restaurant - Christian was fantastic! We also love the buffet. As a professional pale person there’s plenty of spaces everywhere I can stay comfortably out of the sun as well. The hotel, pool, and grounds are immaculate and beautiful. Coming here has provided true rest & relaxation, and it’s become a special place for me & our family.

Where to even start…Paradisus is an absolute gorgeous property. The adult section and the family section are separated by the restaurants and bars at the heart of the hotel. It really is a hotel that gives you the option to vacation the way you want to, whether that is with kids or without. The water park and the ice cream bar in the kids section definitely make the visit over to the family section worth it! They have quiet zones that are well respected for those that want to get some rest and relaxation and activities all throughout the day to keep you busy. The restaurant selection is fantastic. The fact that the buffet is an option that people don’t shy away from because it’s genuinely a great spread speaks volumes. The staff are top tier. They genuinely show care in so many ways! We had the privilege of having Carlos Ramirez as our concierge during our stay and he made our stay unforgettable. For people looking into destination wedding locations we could not recommend this place enough. We visited 8 other properties in the Cancun / playa del carmen area for site visits to see what the properties looked like. With paradisus, you get so much more than what you see online and the Kanna bridge/club area is worth the money. The space was open and even with full restaurants nearby our wedding felt like our own little world. All of our guests raved about the food and appetizers. The drink glasses were full at all times. Even friends commented that they were half way done and the next one was already on the way! Finally, Ingrid Cortes the women behind all the magic that brings ideas and visions to life. The planning of a destination is daunting but Ingrid made it the most seamless process for us! She is the wedding planner/coordinator you didn’t know you needed! The genuine happiness on this women’s face every time we met with her made any day we interacted with her a highlight! Seeing her dancing by the DJ on our big day genuinely enjoying the moment with us gave us such great joy the day of. You can tell she loves what she does. The way she conducts the orchestra of staff, from hair and make up, photographers , DJ, waitstaff and bartenders to make sure you have an amazing event can only be compared to that of a very skilled surgeon! We would recommend her to anyone looking to have a wedding in this beautiful property. We came for a wedding, we left with a new friend and core memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you again so much!

Just wrapped up our destination wedding here at Paradisus La Perla, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We celebrated with 26 of our closest friends and family. Mara, our incredible wedding coordinator, made the entire experience seamless. She was truly the kindest person to work with and made sure every detail was exactly right! The whole trip was amazing! The food, the pool, the atmosphere, our families had an absolute blast. We wouldn’t have changed a single thing. Highly recommend Mara and this resort to anyone dreaming of a wedding here or even just planning a getaway. 10/10 all around.

Wow - this resort is absolutely incredible. It truly exceeded our experiences. The level of service, care and attention to detail is something else. Not only were we upgraded to a beautiful master suite but the staff remembered special events like my boyfriends birthday and surprised us with champagne and dessert - shoutout to Arturo for remembering this detail on a conversation we had on the beach on day 1. He is an amazing member of your team and we want to thank him for this special gesture. Alan at the front desk was also great, so friendly and professional. Sofia our house keeper was extraordinary. All the bartenders were amazing - Alfonso made the best drinks and always made us smile. Usually the food at resorts is the missing piece but the food here was so delicious and restaurant quality. Our favorite restaurants were The Asian (sushi and Hibachi) and Lemon fish (seafood). The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The only downside was the seaweed this time of year but this is all across Cancun. We had the best time and we can’t wait to return. Thank you for the best holiday. -Emma and Will 💗

This was a wonderful all inclusive experience! The rooms were comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The hotel is well maintained, there is a lot of vegetation and there are numerous cats, coaties and raccoons roaming around (while being very respectful of the guests) which is a big plus for me. Everything is close by so it's easy to go change for dinner and go back to the pool. The food is great at the buffet (ever changing) and the speciality restaurants. The animation is very well balanced with some activities and time outs (so the pool is not always in party mode). The best part of the stay was the staff. Everyone is welcoming and do their best to make you feel at home. We asked to be seated in Ismael and Sandy's section everytime we were at the buffet because they were so pleasant and welcoming. Oscar was our waiter most of the time at the pool and he was also very caring. The animation team for the water aerobics is also awesome!
