“Hello Viewers,
So my stay at this hotel is not going to be a pretty review! The hotel is nicely done inside; the lobby, entrance, restaurant, and lounge were beautiful. However, the service at the restaurant, with the servers on the morning shift for breakfast, was the worst I have ever had!!! EXPIEREND. That being said, if it were not for the kindness and true hospitality of the front desk, and specifically certain members of the staff, such as Melanie such a sweetheart, true genuine kindness and great customer service, and Admin the overseer of the lounge who went above and beyond during me and my husband’s stay there to attend this year's Wire Expo, this hotel would have only received one star! And that star would have represented housekeeping, which could have been better had I used my towels to mop the floor, because they left a bunch of hair on the bathroom floor, which is weird since I received “full” service that day. The room service staff were also very accommodating and genuinely nice.
Pros:
Great location, close and literally in a few steps from the park, which is like Central Park in the States, smile!
Beautiful location and clean hotel
“Certain members” of staff make it worth the trip
Breakfast has a wide enough selection, and you will definitely find something to eat
Afternoon/evening staff in the lounge or restaurant, great customer service, and good food
The GYM was definitely four stars, it was clean, towels and water provided, and access to lockers, bathrooms, and showers
Cons:
The morning staff who serve breakfast are all “HORRIBLE” and rude, and I don't believe they truly understand that they are there to make all guests, no matter their “race”, feel at home and to make your stay enjoyable.
This staff showed A LOT of microaggressions towards me for the only reason I could think of, which was being a black woman, or a black woman from the US. In Germany, it is technically illegal to come out and be racist to another person. Still, they do get away with treating someone badly in other ways, making them feel “unwanted.” I felt it in their behavior. I would not advise this hotel for any of my “people of color, just because of this encounter.
The shower/bathtub is dangerous. The ledge is so high that you have to hold onto something to get out of the bathtub after taking a shower. A couple of times, I almost broke my neck trying to get out of the shower.
They had several technical difficulties with their elevator and coffee machine, and the steam room wasn't working, my husband said. The credit card machine was down…. Smh!

Definitely not worth 400€ a night plus tax!!”

“Hôtel moderne et propre. Chambre confortable et avec un vrai lit king size, un seul grand matelas et une seule grande couette (ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas en Allemagne). Le petit déjeuné est bon, la salle de sport est bien équipée et l'espace sauna est accessible jusqu'à 22h. Le parking est assez cher 38€ pour 24h mais pratique.”
“Gelungener Osteraufenthalt mit exzellentem Service!
Wir haben die Ostertage im Meliá Düsseldorf verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel ist zwar nicht mehr ganz neu, erfüllt die Erwartungen an ein 4-Sterne-Haus aber vollkommen.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist die The Level Lounge: Sie ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet eine erstklassige Auswahl an Getränken sowie abwechslungsreiche Snacks am Abend.
Was den Aufenthalt aber wirklich besonders gemacht hat, war das Personal. Alle Mitarbeiter sind überaus aufmerksam, fragen regelmäßig nach dem Wohlbefinden und sind bei kleinen Wünschen oder Problemen sofort behilflich. Ein ganz besonderer Dank geht an Ksenia, die uns während unseres Aufenthalts immer wieder eine große Hilfe war.
Wir kommen gerne wieder!”
“Zentral gelegens Hotel mit moderner Bauweise. Da ich zu einer Konferenz tagsüber vor Ort war, kann ich ueber die Zimmer nichts sagen bezw. bewerten.
Die Küche und Personal waren während Pausen immer auf Nachschub mit Snacks bedacht und die Hauptmahlzeiten wurde frisch und mit viel Engagement zubereitet und serviert.”

“Hemos estado muy cómodos en el Hotel desde el check-in. La amabilidad y la atención de todo el personal ha sido en todo momento impecable, nos hemos sentido como en casa. Nuestra bebé ha disfrutado de las instalaciones y de la atención exquisita del personal también. Muchas gracias a todo el personal por hacer de nuestra visita a Dusseldorf un viaje inolvidable, especialmente a Eloísa, Laura, Julie y Katherine por su cercanía y cariño. Volveremos seguro!”
