room is small but fairly good, bed is comfy however the ceilings in this place are so low it is uncomfortable! it feels overall like you are in one of those capsule hotels not a 5* hotel. there is no coffee machine in the room! bathroom is tiny with sliding door which was fine for 1 person but i can’t see how two people wouldn’t feel claustraphobic in that space. there was unfortunately a distinct sewage smell in the bathroom. the toiletries felt very low quality. i absolutely hated the hand soap and hair conditioner. wifi signal was not very good, i never got full 3 bars and it wasn’t strong enough for using even social media on my phone. breakfast was very good ($20 per day though), however there is no black coffee (drip or filter) available and only americano from the machine (which was not great) with a long line at 7am. i don’t like waiting for people making their cappucino when all i need is a black coffee. i tried to order a coffee at the lounge around 11:30am (because there is no coffee machine in the room!) and the staff could not understand me (i know this sound snobbish but english is not my first language either!) and were very confused by my order - cappucino with oat milk in a regular (not paper) cup. i don’t need a paper cup while i am at the hotel. the drink was lukewarm and took forever to make so i didn’t even bother asking for another one that would be actually hot. overall amenities and the value for money are not there...

Wir waren mit einigen Kleinigkeiten nicht so glücklich. Angeblich soll das Hotel 5 Sterne haben. Abzüge gibt es für folgendes. Der Aufzug ist der Horror. Sehr langsam und er hält an jeder Etage. Wenn man das Zimmer in der Nähe hat läutet es die halbe Nacht wenn er fährt. Uns fehlt in dieser Kategorie ein Turn Down Service. Der größte No Go Punkt für uns war das Ambiente beim Frühstück. Sehr laut ungemütlich und viel zu viele Leute. Außerdem fehlte uns die Variation und ein extra Menü zur Auswahl.

4박5일 머무르고있습니다. 조용하고 시설편리하고 헬스장,수영장있습니다.다만 수영장이 작고 깊지않아요...헬스장도 작고..그래도 위치가 올드타운과뉴타운의중간에있고 시장 2곳이상과가까워 도보로걷기훌륭하네요.

In today’s competitive hotel market, this level of service is truly appreciated. The room is spacious and well-maintained, with clean and comfortable bedding. The bathroom is also spotless. The only minor issue is that the ceiling is a bit low, which may not be ideal for taller guests. However, it’s not a major problem for most people. Overall, Melia is a beautiful hotel with a great location. It’s a perfect place to stay in Chiang Mai.
