“The hotel is undoubtedly beautiful, with stunning outdoor areas and a great overall design. Unfortunately, despite these positive aspects, my stay was disappointing in several ways.
The elevators were consistently overcrowded and took an unreasonably long time to arrive, which became frustrating throughout our stay.
I was also disappointed with the service at the bar. One of the bartenders was consistently unfriendly and, on several occasions, came across as rude when speaking to guests. This is not the level of hospitality I would expect.
The most serious issue, however, was the repeated power and water outages. Over two consecutive days, there were multiple interruptions to both electricity and water. On one occasion, the power went out while my young daughter was taking a shower, leaving her frightened and distressed. This was an unacceptable experience, especially for a family on holiday.
I chose this hotel because I expected the high standards associated with the Meliá brand. Considering the amount I paid for our stay, I did not expect to experience repeated utility failures or service issues of this nature.
Overall, while the hotel has great potential thanks to its facilities and location, the operational problems significantly affected our experience. I sincerely hope these issues are addressed, as they fall well below the standard I expected from a hotel in this category.”

“Práve sme sa vrátili z dovolenky v hoteli Sol Barbados a sme veľmi spokojní. Jasné. Hotel má nejake rezervy, ale celkovo sme si dovolenku užili.
Hotel sa síce nachádza v populárnom party mestečku Magaluf, ale je na jeho okraji. Počas futbalových zápasov majstrovstiev sveta bolo počuť oslavujúcich španielov, ale inak bolo okolie hotela tiché.
Výborne bolo, že sa blízko pri hoteli nachádza zastávka autobusov, ktoré idú do Palmy.
Tak ako všetky španielské hotely, tak aj tento nemá svoju vlastnú pláž, ale da sa k nej rýchlo dostať skratkou. Pláž je veľká s pozvoľným vstupom do mora.
Na jednej strane hotela su dva bazény vhodnejsie pre dospelých a teenagerov. Na druhej strane hotela sú dva bazéniky pre malé detičky a jeden veľký bazén s tobogánmi. Ten sme my využili najviac. Šmýkalky boli bezpečné, neboli veľmi rýchle a na všetko dohliadali plavčíci. Pri tomto bazéne sa dá ležať na lehátkach v záhrade pod palmami, čo bolo veľmi fajn.
Hotel je celkom veľký na to, že má len tri lenivé výťahy. Tvorili sa pri nich rady čo nebolo príjemné. Taktiež sa miestami tvoril rad pred jedálňou, ale rýchlo sa posúval. Jedlo bolo naozaj veľmi chutné a bol aj veľmi veľký výber, takže si každý vie nájsť niečo pre seba. Dokonca aj ja s mojími alergiamy som sa vždy dobre najedla.
Ak idete ako štvorčlenná rodina s ďeťmi na prístelke, tak je izba dosť malá, lebo rozložený gauč z nej ukrojí veľa priestoru, ale izby boli pekné, čisté a pani upratovačky veľmi milé.
Nás na hoteli vlastne najviac otravovali niektorí hostia. Keď sa aj v noci presúvali po chodbách hlučne, alebo keď si k bazénom nosili jedlo( čo bolo zakázané) a nechávali za sebou neporiadok. Najviac ma ale hnevalo, že si ráno uterákom zarezervovali lehátka pri bazéne aj so slnečníkom, ale potom sa tam ukázali až poobede.
V mestečku Magaluf nám vyhovovala najviac promenáda pozdĺž pláže a ulička s obchodíkmi, kde sme sa chodili prechádzať každý večer.
Ďakujeme hotelu za peknú dovolenku.”

“Hemos pasado una semana en familia y voy a comentar los pros y contras de este hotel.
Pros: Es un hotel fantástico para venir con niños, tiene una piscina de toboganes que es una pasada. La animación es maravillosa, el miniclub para los peques es genial y los monitores han sido muy amables y atentos con nuestros hijos.
La playa está a 5 minutos del hotel, eso sí, hay bastante gente pero ambiente tranquilo, nada que ver con el magaluf de hace años.
Las vistas desde la habitación eran buenas quitando que tienes un edificio delante que no te deja ver la playa, pero se ve el mar.
Contras: Bastante masificado, coger el ascensor a ciertas horas nos ha llevado hasta un cuarto de hora! Y estábamos en el piso 11 por lo que subir andando no era una opción. Colas interminables en el bufet para poder conseguir algo recién hecho. Buscar una hamaca en la piscina es misión imposible a no ser que te levantes pronto.
La comida normalita, lo normal en los bufet de este estilo.
La limpieza de la habitación deja bastante que desear. No han barrido la habitación ni una sola vez desde que llegamos. Había hormigas (si, en un piso 11...increíble).
He acabado durmiendo en el sofá cama porque era más cómodo que la cama( imaginaos como es...)
Hemos disfrutado de las vacaciones pero la verdad no repetiría en este hotel.
Gracias a todo el personal de animación porque ha sido de lo mejor de las vacaciones!”

“Resumen de nuestra experiencia en el Hotel Sol Barbadoa By Melià.
1. Ubicación: genial, pese a ser Magaluf, está en una zona muy tranquila pero a 10 minutos como mucho del centro caminando. Cerca playas y calas cercanas.
2. Piscinas: 10! súper bien, grandes y variadas, zona toboganes es muy guay!!! Diversión para adultos y peques!!
3. Animación hotel: punto fuerte!!! Tanto para peques como mayores! Mil gracias a todos los integrantes del.equipo de animación, HABEIS ESTADO DE 10!!! De lo mejor!!
4. Todo incluido. Regular. Teníamos mejores expectativas y experiencias anteriores, claramente a mejorar
5. Habitaciones. Nos.tocó una standard, a priori bien salvo el detalle que tenía puerta en medio de la.propia habitación y era.como.compartirla con los de al lado. El responsable de recepción previo pago suplemento nos cambió a una superior que estuvo genial. Buena atención respecto a este problema.
6. Colas. Pese a no quedar casi nada libre el hotel tiene pocas colas.
7. Limpieza. Muy bien!!!”
