Away from the university area, the rest of the city is like a bustling roller coaster with steep up-and-down streets and a great atmosphere. If you want to see the best views of the River Mondego, climb up the hills until you reach the Plaza del Comercio. The good news is that once you reach there, you can sit down at any of its bars and enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate. When you’ve finished, we recommend you climb the 150 steps of the staircase that leads back to the University. If you still have the strength, you can then cross the river and visit Santa Clara Convent.
