With over 3,000 years of history, this beautiful city still preserves many vestiges of a glorious past that you can discover in its great Archaeological Museum. Nesebar is home to more than 80 churches, most notably the Church of Saint Stephen. If you are travelling to Bulgaria, we recommend you visit it to admire the wonderful frescoes that completely cover its columns and walls. Another lovely experience in Nesebar is waking up at sunrise to see the first rays of sun falling on the roofs of the city's churches, and heading to the harbour early in the morning to watch the fishermen unloading their catch. It is also essential to walk along the old city wall and discover the unique architecture of its cobbled streets.
