“Stayed here for 9 nights in August 2024. We loved the hotel and had the best all inclusive experience. Room - the room was massive even for the 3 of us, 2 adults and a 12yo. Aircon worked a dream which is very good as it was super hot. Mini bar restocked daily and room cleaned daily. All inclusive - all the food options we had were very good, the buffet was all fresh and a great choice for every meal. The speciality restaurants were a pain to book as had to go to a desk to do it... but great once this was done. Swim up bar great, beach bar also great. Nothing bad to say Service - All the staff were super friendly and happy, nothing to much for them to make your holiday special. Location - if you have never been to Mexico before the neighbourhood might be off putting when driving to the hotel. Once in the hotel there is security on the gates, they take details from all taxis picking you up etc etc. It's generally too hot to walk far, so grab a taxi to town!”

“Rooms require maintenance. Food quality and variety is very bad and by far lower than any other hotel brands I visited before. However, the highlight of the hotel is the staff who are attentive, helpful and nice.”

“Kudos to the entire team at this resort for their commitment to quality and service. Beyond impressed with the availability of different spaces and the great variety of restaurants. Buffet food was outstanding and the A La Carte we visited were even better. The constant cleanliness of the entire resort has to be applauded. Paradisus/Melia gained some new members with our family. If there could be ONE improvement, I would say an additional nighttime bar option other than Kicks. (y al DJ, un poco mas de buen animo) Gracias a todos!”

“All I can say is that this resort is amazing. Perfect size for young families and everything was perfect. We got all our reservations before our stay and our concierge Nestor was so responsive and accommodating and made our stay wonderful. Our kids had an amazing time and every evening we did the kiddo activity. The beach is perfect to swim in and well kept. Lunch box was great and lunch at celsius was perfect for the family. Our fav restaurant was Flora but all of them were good. Pools were wonderful and refreshing Customer service was great and our rooms were cleaned twice a day with turn down. We will be coming back next year and this resort has changed my perception of all-inclusive completely. Thank you for making our family trip memorable”

“The need to book each dinner at a restaurant and the DIFFICULTIES to do it was the biggest source of frustration. The family concierge couldn't do much: couldn't tell if we had the booking until the evening, couldn't book in advance for the rest of the stay, couldn't tell why. ALL restaurants (but the buffet) require a reservation, what was never advertised or announced as of the time of booking the package. Watered down hard alcohol, a standard for Cancun all-inclusive resorts. Only very cheap wine, any other wine costs $50-150 per bottle, like in a US restaurant. A good steak costs $80. Good restaurants: Flora, Capella. Sal (steakhouse) is average. We didn't like Blue Agave. Tepaniaki (hibachi) was okay. Buffet was okay too, but small and unimpressive. No pathway along the beach, no way to reach the neighboring hotels without getting into the sand.”

“Beautiful resort, just too close to town and the mangroves. Did not like the coatis, cats, and raccoons. Food felt suspect, and got sick because of that. Great housekeeping, very clean room, but would not go back. Much prefer the more secluded resorts out of town. The ride to the airport just just as time consuming.”

“Great place - no complaints at all. The best all inclusive in Mexico I’ve ever attended. Orlando, Juan & Iris at the bar were amazing - I highly recommend them. Fernando at the front desk was super amazing, Very friendly and looked after all of our requests. Gerardo & Nelson @ cappella were the best servers ever. I highly recommend this restaurant as well. All around, I would definitely come here again no questions asked.”

Only a 30 minute walk to downtown Playa De Carmen. The staff were all so lovely and friendly. We would like to thank servers Gerardo and Nelson at Cappella for making the last dinner of our trip so memorable — and the food was so delicious!!! We would also like to thank bartenders Orlando, Guan and Iris….you all made everyday so special to us and were there every morning with the biggest smiles and welcomes. Lastly, we would like to thank Fernando at the check in front desk. After a long day of travel you made our check in experience easy and gave us the best welcome answering all of our questions!!! “Great resort! Excellent value for mid tier to high end. It has several different levels of access within the resort. We had book a five day stay for two but there were a couple items missing from our room at first. When we asked about it at the front desk, we got service above and beyond: we were bumped up with a wonderful room upgrade in a nicer area closer to the beach, with both an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi. The food at all the restaurants was great. Lemon Fish and all of the restaurants went out of their way to serve me sculptural chef’s dishes, even as a vegan! Flora was excellent earthy cuisine with good salads, and the chef in the Korean restaurant does tricks with knives while cooking for you. There’s also some coffee shops on each side of the resort and an ice cream stand with vegan options. Nice landscaping! The spa with the massage and hydrotherapy was just wonderful, everyone was so nice and it is elegant.”

“Im going to try my best to encapsulate what Paradisus tried to do in this review. To start, the resort is beautiful. Throughout my time you see workers painting and doing updates to the property to maintain its fresh look. It’s been a decade plus that they’ve been open, and it still looks new & modern. The food is fantastic, the buffet is lackluster, but that’s normal, the only buffet in the world that’s 5 stars is in Vegas. The restaurants are great, but the stand out is the Sal restaurant. The food in there from top to bottom is fantastic. We stayed in the family concierge nature suite view, for what you pay for, the room is fantastic. The service minus the concierge is amazing. Now that we covered the best aspects, here are the negatives: what’s the point of the family concierge? The way this feature is advertised is that you have a borderline butler service who will get what you need without you doing the extra work. They reserved our dinners for us, thanks, but the small details were just lacking. On our first night we needed milk to be delivered to our room for our baby, when we came back from dinner it wasn’t there. We had to call room service and wait for it to be delivered. Now there’s unessary pressure added to room service when the responsibility falls on our family concierge. On our last day, our concierge told us at 5:30 our bags will be picked up and to just go to check out. By 6, we were still waiting and now unwarranted pressure is thrown to the bell boys to retrieve our bags. Family concierge service needs to be fleshed out and focused on what their role really is because all it seem they do is just bring crayons, candy and a plush toy to my kid and that’s it. The receptionists also act like they’re doing a favor for you, even though you spent thousands of dollars to stay in a nice room. I don’t need my ass licked, but i do appreciate if they can just take responsibility and fix whatever issue we have. Even with all that said, i will stay here again only for the service workers who actually make Paradisus special. To Eddy, Humberto, Roberto @ Sal restaurant who made our night eventful, to the ladies who worked at the ice cream bar, to Yesenia at the beach, and all the Nannie’s at the kidsdom, thank you to Yessenia, Yadira, Lety, and Carlota for making my little Sofia’s time so much better. She even cried whenever i picked her up cause i was ending her fun!! These are the people who make this place shine. The ones who work behind the scenes. You guys deserve a raise and more! Hope to see you all soon!!!!”
