Guests will gain hands-on culinary skills while being fully immersed in the local culture of Chengdu. From sourcing fresh ingredients to mastering authentic Sichuan dishes, participants leave with practical cooking techniques, a deepened appreciation for the region's culinary traditions. And the opportunity to experience the authentic essence of Sichuan’s flavours.

The experience begins with a visit to a traditional farmer’s market, where participants stroll through vibrant stalls overflowing with fresh, aromatic ingredients. Engaging with local vendors, guests learn about the unique produce and fragrant spices that give the region’s dishes their unique flavours. After selecting their ingredients, the journey progresses to a cooking workshop guided by a local chef. You will be led through each step as they learn to craft three signature Sichuan dishes, including the famous Chengdu dumplings. This hands-on experience teaches culinary skills while deepening participants' understanding and appreciation of local Sichuanese cuisine.

The market is a feast for the senses, filled with fresh produce, aromatic spices, and the unique passion of vendors. As guests wander through the stalls, they gain a deeper understanding of the local way of life and the essential role each ingredient plays in crafting authentic Sichuan dishes.

Once the ingredients are selected, the experience moves to the cooking workshop. You will learn the techniques required to create three traditional dishes, mastering both the art of Sichuan cooking and the cultural significance behind each recipe. The day concludes with participants enjoying the dishes they have prepared in a relaxed setting, connecting with local ingredients, culinary tradition, and Chengdu’s vibrant culture.
