“Another fantastic stay at INNSiDE by Meliá Newcastle. The river-view room was definitely the highlight – waking up overlooking the River Tyne is hard to beat. The room was modern, spacious, extremely clean and really well presented. The hotel has a great atmosphere throughout, with the riverside location making it feel a little more special than your typical city-centre hotel. It’s also in a brilliant spot for getting into the centre of Newcastle while still having those fantastic views. The complimentary drinks in the room fridge are a really nice touch too, and the hotel has a great bar and excellent facilities, including a well-equipped 24-hour gym. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything felt clean, modern and well looked after throughout our stay. It’s easy to see why the hotel consistently gets such strong reviews. For us, the river view, cleanliness, location and overall quality make this one of the best places to stay in Newcastle. We’ll definitely be back – another brilliant Meliá stay”

“We've booked here and were very happy with our overnight stay. Late checkout at 12 noon also works really well for us, especially after we had a night out. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very clean. I love their public toilet that has baby nappies, etc., as this would be very helpful for visiting moms. The room we have is also very spacious. We've been traveling across the UK for the last few weeks, and this is the only hotel we've booked in that I saw was very friendly for people who have mobility issues like myself. The bathroom is flat and even has a mobility chair and also a call bell to use. The water pressure is also good despite us being on the 5th floor. I also loved that this hotel has a very big bed. My partner and I slept really well. The hotel also provided complimentary drinks in the fridge. The cleaner did not knock on our door prior to coming in; it was 11:30 am, and I am sure she assumed that we had already left. Perhaps next time it would be better if she knocked first prior to coming in. This hotel is only a 15-minute walk to the city center. It also has Chef Gino's restaurant inside and a nice bar. The food here is really good. If you walk outside, there is another club beside it, and literally a few minutes' walk, and you can party. My partner was very happy because he saw Jack White staying here last night after we watched his show. Outside is the view of the bridge and the water. I would love to come back here again next time we visit Newcastle. I highly recommend this hotel.”

“I had an absolutely amazing and wonderful weekend stay over at Innside by Melia in Newcastle and honestly it was a wonderful experience, one never to forget soon. From check in to check out, everything was smooth and seamless . Every staff member I came across was friendly, warm and welcoming. As for the room, I am short of words cause it was nothing but perfection, I would totally recommend booking the room with a sea view if you can afford it. Breakfast and Dinner from the Resturant was truly delicious and satisfying. For me I would rate my whole experience as a 1000/10 and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Newcastle.”

“Really well thought out rooms, quiet, great location, all staff encountered were super friendly, amazing shower, and lovely touches in both the room & shared spaces (cool mugs, coasters, artwork etc.). Loved that there were local drinks in the room fridge too!”

Every autumn, Munich hosts one of the most famous popular celebrations in the world: the Oktoberfest. For just over two weeks, the Theresienwiese (meaning "Theresa's Meadow", and the large esplanade where the Oktoberfest is held, a tradition that began in 1810 with the wedding of the then Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Theresa of Saxe-Hildburghausen) becomes a huge fair where large beer tents coexist with Bavarian gastronomy, live music, attractions, and traditions that have been part of the city's identity for over two centuries. And although beer is one of its main protagonists, the Oktoberfest is also an opportunity to get closer to the culture and customs of Bavaria.
