“I have been choosing Melia Hotels and Resorts for a long time now.
Yes there are things that need to be done but the overall experience was great.
Martha from the kitchen did an absolutely amazing job all days and for the fact that it seem understaffed for this period, which is understandable, she was excellent in her job and all food was perfect for the whole week I stayed there.
Didn’t manage to keep all staff names though they were trying their best to help everyone.
Curro or Kurro can’t remember exactly the name written, was really helpful at all times and also knew when we needed a drink or help which makes him a top hospitality member in times when relaxation and travel is combined. Thank you for your great service. Also the gentleman that they were normally together in the shift did a great job. 13th of April till 20th of April of that helps to give them a good heads up for their great work.
David, Rosa, Jose Diego and Pepe bar and breakfast Area absolutely great service as well.
Reception was helpful above and beyond and tried their best to make sure my stay was great.
For anyone that doesn’t know, Melia has a note in the bathroom that says the brand is trying to save on waste so if you need those extra toiletries, just call reception and they will bring everything, from sleepers, grooming kit, sleep kit, nail clipper, ladies needed little things, toothbrushes, cotton buds , in just a call.
Same for the iron board and iron. Make sure you don’t call reception for this, but the room service on the phone in the room. It’s really simple.
I’m saying this cause I saw some complains on reviews that are really not true AT ALL.
The pool closes at 6pm maybe it changes later on but remember that’s because products need their time to work for the pool to be clean and the pool is huge and also accessible to everyone and all ages, even for people with limited mobility. I was glad for all this that the pool and pool bar provides, even though I’d like to have that extra time as well🤭
The hotel was clean, yes there were renovations but come on, which hotel doesn’t do renovations.
The beach bar was closed which is ok for this time of the year. Make sure you call and ask the hotel or through email for more information about it.
( Also I think the hotel could add an extra part on the website on what’s available and whats not on, at the period of the year when the hotel is open, it makes it more convenient)
There is kids water pool style dedicated area, outdoor activities within the hotel from the very happy two girls I saw there, that did their best to have fun and make sure guests enjoyed themselves( didn’t get to keep the names but honestly they did so well ).
The singer on Saturday night was absolutely fantastic and maybe the show can start also a bit more early with a BBQ style evening. Great after all.
Now for the room. Everything was great, variety of pillows you can also choose from with a call on room service on the phone in the room.( it says 24/7 availability for this). There is just one thing for me, as a 4 star hotel I wished the balcony doors were more soundproof and also if anyone’s stays at the bottom floors, the sound from above is a bit obvious so at least make sure as a brand for this hotel to let the guests know, when the quite times are, walking or dropping something was actually noticeable.
My overall experience was great and shocked of the amount of food available on half board booking. As a regular visitor on Melia and gold member guest I’m still happy choosing this brand for my holidays all over the world and different countries I visited.

“Hemos estado este fin de semana y la verdad que la experiencia general es buena. Habitaciones amplias, todo muy limpio, la cuna para el bebé en buenas condiciones, el desayuno rico, el personal amable… pero si es cierto que hay cositas que mejorar, la habitación (617) olía a humedad y tenía poca ventilación, el zumo del desayuno parecía de hotel de dos estrellas, pocas máquinas de café y tostadoras, se formaban colas enormes en abril, no quiero imaginar en verano… los armarios un poco inflados por humedad y la mesa y sillas de la habitación eran de exterior más que de habitación.”
