“We have had an excellent stay at this hotel in Madeira. While some aspects of the décor are a little dated, it actually adds a certain character and personality that many modern hotels lack. The artwork displayed throughout the building has been thoughtfully chosen and helps create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The hotel excels in the details. The soft, luxurious towels and robes, the Rituals toiletries in the rooms, the beautifully refreshing pool temperature, and the comfortable sun beds all contribute to a feeling of understated luxury. The relaxed ambience makes it very easy to switch off and enjoy your holiday. Breakfast is a highlight, with an extensive selection that includes plenty of fresh local island flavours. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have experienced. What really sets this hotel apart, however, is the exceptional service. A special mention goes to Lenine, who noticed that my daughter liked to refill her water bottle and kindly brought her fresh cold water every day without being asked. It was such a thoughtful gesture and perfectly captures the attentive, personal service we received throughout our stay. This is a hotel that understands that great hospitality is about making guests feel genuinely cared for. We would happily return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madeira.”See more reviews

“Selten habe ich den Bericht schon vor der Abfahrt geschrieben, aber hier kann nix mehr schieflaufen. Dazu war es schon zu gut. Dieses Hotel bietet dir alles, was du für eine Woche relaxen brauchst. Spa, Pool innen und aussen, Gym, Bademäntel etc. Ein Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Jeden Abend Entertainment mit der Garantie, alle die es ruhiger mögen haben diese Ruhe ab 23 Uhr. Tiefgarage im -1 UG. Rezeption 24/7 besetzt. Und diese kleinen Annehmlichkeiten, die dir zeigen, dass du als Gast wirklich willkommen bist. Dezent und doch eindrucksvoll. “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional stay with breathtaking views! Meliá Madeira Mare is definitely one of the best places to stay in Funchal. Location: Perfect location in the Lido area, close to great restaurants and shops, with stunning direct views of the Atlantic Ocean. Rooms: Spacious, spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend booking a sea-view room! Facilities: The outdoor pool is fantastic, and the spa is perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking. Food & Service: The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of delicious options. A special thanks to the staff—they are extremely friendly, professional, and welcoming. An amazing experience overall. I would absolutely stay here again!”See more reviews
