“The reviews of this resort are very daunting at first, but please don’t get caught up on them because in my opinion, they are very dramatic. I have just returned home from my visit here, and not once did I feel frustrated with any part of the experience. The staff are extremely lovely and can’t do enough for you. The buffet isn’t the most spectacular, but it definitely has options (i’m just a picky eater, which in that case I found the snack bar was better for me). We didn’t face any hygiene issues. They constantly switch the food out every 5-10 minutes, the staff are really on the ball with cleaning tables, cutlery, surfaces & offering/refilling peoples drinks. If you use your common sense & sanitise, you will literally be fine. The beds (in my opinion) were not as uncomfortable as people on these reviews make them out to be. Yes, they are hard, but that didn’t bother me. The room service was pleasant & efficient. Upon arrival they offer you drinks and almost immediately take your bags for you, guide you to your room and give you all the information you need. The wifi isn’t spectacular, but it does the job. It’s a really lovely resort and a fabulous stay. It’s somewhere i’d 100% return to, and i’m very glad I didn’t listen to the reviews and book elsewhere.”

Plusieurs restaurants accessibles évitant la lassitude du « All inclusive ». L’océan et sa plage en bout de parcelle de l’hôtel, avec des Transats à disposition : Top. Les deux petites zones de baignades autour de « Bikini Beach » dont surveillees . Excellente ambiance générale et personnel souriant à disposition. Les excursions peuvent débuter au pied de l’hôtel. Nous étions 3 couples d’amis, tous ravis!”

“Modern hotel with lovely facilities. I’m unsure where the complaints are about this hotel have come from. The hotel is modern, has two lovely pools and nice rooms. The rooms are also not that dated at all. The staff are lovely and friendly and very helpful. Its as nice as most 5* hotels I have stayed in, out done by a brand new water villa in the Maldives but better than a very dated one in Malaysia. Its not luxury, but it is modern and 5* in terms of facilities The only, very first world problem things, I could find to “complain” about is that the coffee is terrible and the 40 euro refundable deposit for a beach towel is a bit bizarre. The worst thing about the hotel was several entitled British tourists moaning vociferously about the slightest things, the staff did very well to remain calm, which was highly embarassing!”

“This has been the best all inclusive Holiday I've ever done. Our room, fantastic, I highly recommend upgrading to the level, alongside the swim up room. You get a beautiful room, with enough space for everything, with your own private little garden, mini bar which gets stocked daily. Our experience has been nothing but incredible, to the food, the restaurants, the cocktails. The food was delicious and to a high quality. Even down to the buffet, it's the best buffet with freshly cooked meats and fish. The beach is beautiful, the pool always clean and the environment was calm, peaceful and everything you could wish for. There's minimal noise and it's adults only No children. I loved doing the pilates and stretching in the morning. The facilities are fantastic, the spa is posh and the entertainment embraces the local culture while not overcomplicating a pleasant experience. It's going back to basics and honouring the locals and their talents, it embraces their skills and keeps it fun and light. The only things we could think of to improve is more lactose free foods (the other half has an intolerance) and make sure you bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. If not, you can buy it from the local shop. Other than that, the hotel will accommodate to every single need. The staff go above and beyond, I can't speak more highly of every single member of staff that made our stay beyond incredible. Thank you for having us, and yes we will be back next year, and for longer. I cannot wait to come back, thank you for everything. It's definitely worth every single penny.”

“Arrived to a nice reception. We both had to 20 euro each (cash only) for our towels but you get that back at the end. The place looks the same as last year. MARÉS Restaurant is the main buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are lucky you will meet the lovely Lamia who always welcomes you with a beautiful smile and kind words. Food was really good. . Big selection of fleshly cooked food with different themed nights. For example: Japanese with sushi and fish options and Mexican with tacos and chilli. We've observed them removing hot food plates from display after a period of time (even though it's not empty) and they replace with fresh food. They do pre-prepare plates of food in advance to ensure there is enough but this can result in some foods drying out. They serve soft drinks in wine glasses which is a nice touch. Breakfast - lots of good choices along with freshly made omelettes. I really enjoyed the cinnamon french toast in the mornings. You have the option to eat in the Tropico, Casa Nostra and La Serena once during your stay. Booking is required. TROPICO: Has a small selection of food with an added extra for particular main courses. To start with you are offered a piece of baguette - unfortunately it was a bit stale. They asked what you wanted for starter, main course and dessert right at the beginning. We asked to wait before ordering dessert. The food is served very quickly and you can have all 3 courses within 30 minutes. It's civilised but not overly friendly and there was no music. My husband had the 'surf and turf' and found it very tasty - at no extra charge so I'd recommend this. I had the hamburger and chips which were okay. CASA NOSTRA: Offers freshly baked bread to dip in oil. The oil bowl was chipped. Wanted to know what we wanted for starter, main course and dessert right away. You get the menu from a QR code on the table. Once again, civilised but not overly friendly. The pear salad starter was delicious. And the pizza with bacon caramelised onion is recommended. The pace was slower and we were finished within 75 minutes. Very nice. ACTIVITIES are daily. Isaias is the main person who leads the exercise activities and he is very good. When we were there no one wanted to do the aqua gym or volleyball. The people who stay in the mirror hotel, Melià Llana sound a little more up for this. Pilates at 9am is popular along with Yoga @beach at 5pm is located in the grass at the end of the hotel next to the promenade. GYMNASIUM is okay with some running and cycling machines. They also have weights but the lightest weight is 5lb and so these can be popular with the females. YHI SPA: Back, shoulders and neck massage. 75 Euro although if they are quiet on that day they may consider reducing the price. Really good. Can have it with your partner in the same room. WEATHER in December: lovely and warm during the day. Can be quite windy but it keeps you cool and chases the clouds away. However the wind can make it cool in the evenings so a warm cardigan is recommended. HOTEL GROUNDS are nice and the pool is in good condition. Some doors are damaged/ chipped. The odd lamps on the path are broken. But remember this is a Developing Country.”

“We had a lovely holiday at this hotel. The room was spectacular, very spacious with a great balcony. Food is good always got with a good choice. The location is good very close to the beach and a nice walk into Santa Maria (40 minutes along a paved road). The hotel also provides a shuttle bus.
