(Translated by Google) Our stay was simply fantastic. Paradisus Meliá always lives up to our expectations. We did miss the activities for teenagers, and I must say the elevator situation remains a bit of a problem, but overall, a 10 out of 10 for the hotel and its staff. Extra recognition to the Kids Club team (Pedro, Héctor, Patri, Oihane, Aroa, and Moha), as well as Javier from the Peseta restaurant. See you next year!”

“I had an amazing stay at the Meliá Paradisus Gran Canaria! The hotel facilities are outstanding, and the variety and quality of food across the restaurants exceeded my expectations. What truly made the experience special was the kindness and professionalism of the staff. A special thank you to Estefan and Moha, who were incredibly friendly throughout all the activities and gave us suggestions that made our trip truly memorable. I can’t wait to come back soon!”

“I recently stayed at Hotel Paradisus in Gran Canaria, and overall it was a very memorable experience with some standout highlights. The design and ambiance of the hotel are absolutely five-star—modern, serene, and beautifully executed. The gardens are especially impressive: lush, immaculately maintained, and a refreshing contrast to the typically dry, dark landscape of the island. The restaurants are also thoughtfully designed, and the floating pool area really ties the whole aesthetic together. The wellness side of the hotel is strong. The yoga setup in the garden was fantastic, and the daily activity programme is well planned and engaging. The gym, however, is a bit limited—particularly for guests who prefer mat-based workouts rather than machines, as space is quite restricted. The staff truly elevate the experience. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Zebenuri and Andrea C, who took care of us during several dinners—they were attentive, hardworking, and always smiling. Carlos, who led some of the garden classes, was excellent, and we really appreciated being allowed to borrow mats to practice yoga independently. Sandro also made a great impression—he was warm, kind, and exactly the kind of person you want greeting you on arrival and saying goodbye at the end of your stay. That said, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. The food, while good in terms of variety and general taste, didn’t quite meet the expectations of a five-star resort. One particularly frustrating issue was the lack of clear labelling at the buffet. For vegetarians or those with dietary restrictions (like lactose intolerance), it becomes a guessing game—trying to identify something like coconut yogurt among several similar bowls, or not knowing whether wraps contain meat. Some dishes also felt incomplete—for example, a vegetable curry without any rice available. At times, it was surprisingly difficult to put together a well-rounded meal. The Italian restaurant also lacked a vegetarian pizza option, although the staff were kind enough to make one on request, which was appreciated. Service at the bars was inconsistent. While the staff were clearly working hard, getting drinks could sometimes take multiple requests and arrive quite late. The cocktails at the pool bar were also quite average—very hit or miss depending on what you ordered. Another downside was the repeated upselling of the Melia Circle programme. While I don’t mind being informed about it once—perhaps at check-in—being approached multiple times by concierges during what is supposed to be a relaxing holiday felt a bit too pushy and detracted from the overall experience. The let down, however, was the spa. The therapists were excellent, and my treatment itself was truly five-star. I had planned to book multiple treatments throughout the week, but after my first experience, I decided not to. Unfortunately, during what should have been a peaceful and relaxing massage, there were staff members walking overhead in high heels, creating constant noise that completely disrupted the ambiance. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with exceptional staff and a stunning setting. With a few improvements—particularly in food labelling, consistency of service, it could easily match the high standard its design and atmosphere already set.”
