Few things make a holiday with children as simple as being able to alternate plans without travelling long distances. On the Costa Brava, the sea, the coves and the coastal towns make it easy to swap a morning at the beach for an afternoon at the pool or a walk in the surrounding area.
When looking for a family hotel in Costa Brava, it is worth focusing on aspects that really influence the family routine: facilities, room type, dining and distance to the places you want to visit. Meliá Lloret de Mar, located in Lloret de Mar, offers a base from which to enjoy the destination with that flexible approach.
The Meliá Hotels International selection in this region includes an establishment in Lloret de Mar, with a pool and wellness spaces.
| Hotel | Category | Profile | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meliá Lloret de Mar | 5* | Pool · Spa · Weddings | Pool, relaxation spaces and location in Lloret de Mar |
On a family holiday, the pool can be a particularly practical resource for alternating days of excursions and beach time with days at a more relaxed pace. If specific services are needed for a certain age, it is preferable to check their availability before your stay.
Every family organises their trip in a different way. With young children, having simple plans and rest times usually works well; when they are a bit older, excursions, sports and discovering the surrounding area can take up more space on the agenda.
The pool at Meliá Lloret de Mar provides an alternative for enjoying your accommodation without having to plan an outing. From there, the destination allows you to incorporate beaches, walks and coastal excursions according to the pace of each day.
Those specifically looking for hotels with a children's pool in Costa Brava, a kids club or activities organised by age should check which services are available during their chosen dates. The children's offer may change depending on the establishment or the season, so it is not advisable to automatically associate a pool with a kids club or entertainment.
Lloret de Mar is the destination that concentrates the Meliá Hotels International option included in this selection. Its location on the Costa Brava allows you to combine time at the hotel with days by the sea and trips to different points on the Girona coastline.
Beyond its urban centre, one of the characteristic experiences of the region is exploring the coves of the Costa Brava and discovering different Mediterranean landscapes throughout your trip. With children, the possibility of choosing each day between the pool, the beach or an outing in the surrounding area provides room to adapt plans to the weather and ages.
Therefore, Lloret de Mar works as a starting point for a family holiday that does not have to follow the same programme every day.
Girona-Costa Brava Airport is one of the main air access routes to this part of the Catalan coast. From there, you can continue by road to Lloret de Mar and other municipalities in the region.
Late spring and summer are the seasons most associated with beach and pool holidays. September can also be interesting for families who prefer more moderate temperatures. Outside the summer months, the Costa Brava offers another perspective, more oriented towards walks, visits and tours of the surrounding area.

It depends on the children's ages and the priorities of each trip. Among the family hotels in Costa Brava in this selection is Meliá Lloret de Mar, a 5-star establishment with a pool located in Lloret de Mar. To choose wisely, it is useful to assess the room type, the facilities, the dining and the family plans planned during the stay.
Accommodation plans may vary depending on the conditions available for each stay. Before travelling, it is advisable to check which plan is offered and what dining services are included. This point can be especially relevant with young children, as meal times often condition part of the daily planning.
The suitability of a family hotel in Costa Brava depends on the specific needs of each age. Aspects such as rooms, meals, access and the possibility of resting between activities can be important when travelling with babies or young children. If you are looking for a kids club, children's pool or other specific service, it is advisable to confirm their availability and the admitted ages in advance.

From this town, it is possible to combine your stay with different plans along the coast.
