“The Ngorongoro Lodge was my favorite of the Melia properties in Tanzania. We had a warm greeting with staff singing and dancing and their hospitality was consistent throughout our stay. The hotel is beautiful and has the most spectacular view of the crater. My husband and I got a massage at their spa and it was one of the best massages I've ever had. Ali at the bar was wonderful and took great care of us. One morning we got to see a buffalo from our room. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would love to return in the future.”

The facilities at Melia Ngorongoro were truly exceptional. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed with luxurious amenities. The private veranda offered breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater, making it the perfect spot to relax and soak in the stunning scenery. Beyond our room, the lodge itself boasted impressive facilities. The infinity pool, heated for year-round enjoyment, was a welcome respite after a day of game drives. The spa offered a tranquil oasis for relaxation and rejuvenation, while the dining options were diverse and delicious. The attention to detail was evident throughout the lodge, from the impeccable cleanliness to the thoughtful touches that enhanced our stay. We particularly appreciated the commitment to sustainability and the integration of local elements into the design. The food was truly outstanding, with a diverse menu featuring both local and international flavors. But what truly set Melia Ngorongoro apart was the incredible staff. Every single member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Melia Ngorongoro to anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable safari experience.”

“Luxury overlooking the Ngorongoro caldera, though the animals are too distant to be spotted. We were there in 23-24 July 2024. Magical sunrise and sunset from the deck outside the dining hall. Wonderful service in all departments - security, front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, kitchen, delicious meals with menu choices, complimentary drinks. The well-appointed rooms with large windows overlooking the crater were similarly magical. Complimentary mini bar with snacks; good wifi. Saves time in reaching the crater for the safari”
