“We had an absolutely magical evening at The Grand Luang Prabang 🥰 I had reserved a table facing the Mekong for a special moment with my partner, and everything was perfectly arranged from start to finish. The team was incredibly attentive, with great care and thoughtful touches throughout the evening. The table was beautifully decorated, creating a romantic and elegant atmosphere. We had pre-ordered two cocktails and a shared starter, and everything was delicious. The setting is simply exceptional, with a breathtaking view over the Mekong at sunset… a truly unforgettable moment. Thank you again to the whole team for this wonderful experience, we will definitely be back!”

“Schönes, weitläufiges Resort. Ein ehemaliger Palast, der in Würde Partina angesetzt hat. Was manche Gäste als "abgewohnt" bezeichnen, macht gerade den Charme dieses Hotels aus. Die Zimmereinrichtung ist, Melia-typisch, hochwertig und sehr komfortabel. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und etwas langsam, was für Laos aber typisch ist und den Charme dieses wenig bereisten Landes ausmacht. Extrem ruhige, zauberhafte Lage direkt am Mekong. Die Atmosphäre ist magisch - stundenlang Dasitzen und den Fluss beobachten - wunderschön.”

“The Grand Luang Prabang, Affiliated by Meliá - Kraliyet Sarayında Konaklama ve Baci Töreni Deneyimi ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Laos’un Luang Prabang şehrinde, Mekong Nehri kıyısında doğrudan konumlanmış tek lüks otel - hiçbir yol, gürültü yok, sadece saf huzur . 1920 yılında inşa edilmiş bir sarayı da içeren sekiz binadan oluşan bir kompleks . Konum ve Atmosfer: Yaklaşık altı hektarlık UNESCO listesindeki arazide, sömürge dönemi mimarisi Laos tasarımıyla kusursuz bir şekilde harmanlanıyor, bakımlı bahçeler, nilüfer göletleri ve yüzyıllık ağaçlar sakin bir atmosfer yaratıyor . Biz kalabalıkça bir grup olduğumuz için de olabilir bilmiyorum ama ; Baci Töreni - Muhteşem Bir Karşılama! Bize burada geleneksel bir Baci töreni düzenlediler ve bu deneyim tek kelimeyle büyüleyiciydi! Baci, Laos’un en önemli manevi törenlerinden biri - ruhları bağlamak, iyi şanslar dilemek ve misafirleri karşılamak için yapılıyor. Tören sırasında beyaz pamuk ipleri bileğimize bağlandı ve her ip sarılırken dilekler dileniyordu. Geleneksel Laos müziği eşliğinde, otel personeli ve yerel rahipler töreni yönetti. Gerçekten samimi ve dokunucu bir andı - turistik bir “şov” gibi değil, gerçekten içten yapılmış bir karşılama töreni. Otelin böyle otantik bir kültürel deneyimi organize etmesi harika. Sadece lüks bir otel değil, Laos kültürünü ve geleneklerini misafirlerine yaşatan bir yer olduğunu gösteriyor. Baci töreninden sonra kendimi gerçekten Laos ailesinin bir parçası gibi hissettim. Bileğimdeki ipleri en az 3 gün takmak gerekiyormuş - uğur getiriyormuş. Tabii ki öyle yaptım! 😊 Odalar: Fransız sömürge tasarımı ve geleneksel Laos dokunuşlarına sahip, Mekong’un nefes kesici manzaralarını sunuyor . Odalar geniş, rahat ve huzurlu. Yemek: Restoran harika, özellikle somon biftek mükemmel. Kahvaltı büfesi çeşitli ve Mekong manzaralı - gün doğumunu izleyerek kahvaltı yapmak unutulmaz. Sonuç: Bu otel sadece konaklama değil, bir kültür deneyimi sunuyor. Baci töreni tek başına bile buraya gelme sebebi! Prens Phetsarath’ın sarayında kalmak, geleneksel törenlerle karşılanmak, Mekong’u izlemek… Luang Prabang’a geliyorsanız ve otantik bir Laos deneyimi istiyorsanız kesinlikle burayı seçin. Pahalı ama her kuruşuna değer. Baci töreni sayesinde sadece bir otel konuğu değil, Laos’un ruhuna dokunmuş biri olarak ayrılıyorsunuz! 🏰🙏✨ Not: Baci töreni standart bir hizmet mi yoksa özel talep mi bilmiyorum, ama check-in yaparken sormanızı tavsiye ederim. “ルアンパバーンの中心やホテル街からは離れていますが、メコン川沿いの静かで閑静なホテルです。 事前情報通りお湯の供給に少し難がありますが、清潔で快適な部屋でした。 朝食会場が少し離れていますが、ガーデンを見ながらの行き帰りも心が落ち着きます。 ブッフェの朝食は品数はそれほど多くはないですが、美味しかったです。”

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations — the stunning Mekong River views, the peaceful atmosphere, and the beautifully maintained grounds create a truly special experience. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. Every detail feels well thought out, from the quality of the amenities to the relaxing ambiance. Both breakfast and dinner were outstanding — delicious, well-presented, and clearly crafted with care. A special mention to Chef Kai for the fantastic culinary experience. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the people. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Bella, the General Manager, whose presence and leadership are clearly felt throughout the property. She is warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. You can see the passion and hard work she puts into the hotel — constantly present, engaging with guests, and leading her team with excellence. It makes a real difference. The entire team is exceptional — especially Ms. Diana and Maggie — all incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Their genuine hospitality creates a feeling of home away from home. It’s clear that the hotel has been thoughtfully revitalized into something vibrant yet still preserving its charm and tranquility. Perfect for anyone seeking peace, beauty, and top-tier service. We loved every moment of our stay and will absolutely be back. Highly recommended.”

“2 gece kaldım. Yıllardır hizmet veren sessiz, sakin bir yer. Büyük bir bahçesi mevcut. Geniş bir odası ve geniş balkonu var. Mermer banyosu kullanışlı. Balkonda otururken doğadan gelen seslerle huzur bulabilir, açık büfe kahvaltıda yerel lezzetleri tadabilirsiniz.”

“Très bon hôtel, sur les berges du Mekong, le lieu est d’une parfaite sérénité, notamment le matin, lors du petit-déjeuner. Un peu éloigné du centre, nécessite la navette de l’hôtel.”

“We were on a Gate 1 group tour, so we don't know what they were charged for the rooms, nor if bkfst is included or was discounted. The hotel is on the Mekong River with many rooms. I believe all of them have a patio or balcony with views of the river. The place has a gym and spa, very helpful staff, Great food from the restaurants (one for bkfst, the other for dinner), nicely landscaped and overall, kept up. The rooms were large with a king bed, a desk, fridge, and two chairs - ours anyway. The place is showing signs of wear and tear and if not addressed, could go downhill in a hurry - the boards dividing various areas are old, paint chipping off, some loose, the wooden railings and steps going to the river are rickety and could easily fall apart any moment, lights in our room (211) were very dim (one not working) except for the bathroom which were bright like they should be. Toilet was dripping. I understand it is hard to maintain such a large area with everything going on, but if it gets worse, you won't be having guests stay there cuz they won't want to. As far as location, I guess it was good, but not certain, as again, we were with a tour group, and of course know nothing about the area or the town. The night market was about 20 min from the hotel.”

“Arrived in Luang prabang after a long journey, we were delighted to be delivered to the doors of this lovely colonial styled hotel. We had a cocktail sitting looking over the banks of the river and felt utterly at peace and happy. The staff are charming and easy to smile. The room was spotless and had a view of the lawns that were manicured by gentle water buffalo. A swimming pool makes this a nice retreat for a couple of days, and despite grander days, the hotel does a great job to retain it's slightly elite feel and cleanliness. They provide an hourly shuttle bus to the centre of town very close to the night market, and I believe you can also be collected and returned to the hotel. It was great to spend a couple of nights at this lovely hotel, and then a couple of nights in the centre. Who doesn't love Luang Prabang..”

“We had an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC stay at The Grand Luang Prabang. Truly one of the most impressive hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere. Let’s start with the FOOD, because this is important. Hotel food is usually very average—sometimes worse—but this was OUTSTANDING. And here’s why: they GROW THEIR OWN VEGETABLES right on the property and along the banks of the Mekong River. Fresh, thoughtful, beautifully prepared. You can taste the difference immediately. No shortcuts. Very rare. The STAFF were exceptional. Thoughtful, caring, and genuinely kind. The attention to detail was INCREDIBLE—the kind of service that makes you feel truly looked after, not just checked in and checked out. The setting is SPECTACULAR. Peaceful, quiet, and directly on the banks of the Mekong River. Calm, beautiful, and deeply relaxing—exactly what you want in Luang Prabang. One of the highlights—and this was very special—were the three water buffalo that maintain the grass around the hotel. Friendly, calm, and honestly adorable. A unique and memorable touch you don’t see anywhere else. This was a MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE for my wife and me—one we will not forget. An exceptional hotel, run the right way, in a truly beautiful location. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.”

“Good rooms, beautiful place. The breakfast buffet and dinner were great. About 15 min from town by Tuk Tuk. No bidet in the bathroom. Definitely a nice place to stay, though it does feel a little dated. Good place if you want a slow, quiet hotel. Also a decent gym”

“Albergo splendido! Il personale è davvero eccezionale: dalle colazioni al ricevimento, fino alle signore delle pulizie, tutti sono sorridenti e gentili, come pochi ho visto finora. Anche se può sembrare un po’ distante dal centro, in realtà bastano solo 15 minuti di van (gratuito) per arrivarci. E se rientri tardi, con pochi euro puoi tornare comodamente in tuk-tuk. Vale davvero la pena provarlo: ti fa sentire subito a tuo agio.”

“Tranquil private sanctuary I had a most wonderful 3-night stay at The Grand Luang Prabang Hotel! 😍 Set on a big plot of land, this hotel offers a true sense of space and a private sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle. Located a bit away from the city centre, it's perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility. The hotel's restaurant overlooking the Mekong River is a highlight, with stunning views of the far horizon and the mighty river. The staff are super friendly and helpful, always ready to give recommendations for restaurants to dine in the city. My room was very clean and spacious, with everything I needed. However, breakfast could be improved for Western travellers - the buffet mainly featured Chinese or cooked dishes (veggies, rice, noodles), an egg station, and noodle soup. Cereals, bread, and cake were available, but it was a bit limited for non-Asian tastes. Overall, I'd highly recommend The Grand Luang Prabang Hotel for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and excellent service. A great choice for a relaxing stay in Luang Prabang!”
