Una cosa es un hotel 5 estrellas y otra cosa muy distinta es que el personal es 5 estrellas también.
Desde las personas que hacen el aseo, sirven en los bares y restaurante, atienden el área de piscina, gestionan el spa, los vehículos disponibles, todos tienen un nivel positivo y parejo de atención que es muy difícil de lograr.

“Gran Meliá Iguazú is an outstanding hotel and easily one of the best places to stay in Argentina. The service is excellent throughout—everyone, from the pool staff and restaurant team to reception and taxi service, was consistently friendly, efficient, and attentive.
The facilities are fantastic, and the setting is simply unbeatable. The views of the falls are incredible, and the infinity pool feels like a real luxury experience. Being within walking distance of the falls' trails and train is a major advantage.
Regarding the monkeys, the hotel provides clear explanations at check-in and when you are escorted to your room, along with signs on doors and balconies. This is part of the natural surroundings, and guests are well informed on how to avoid any issues.
There is also a spa and gym, which adds to the overall relaxing experience. A beautiful place to unwind—definitely worth the price and I would happily stay again.”

“We had an incredible stay at the Gran Meliá Iguazú. The biggest advantage is the location, it’s inside the national park on the Argentine side of Iguazú Falls, with direct access to the trails. Not having to commute back and forth saved us time and made the entire experience much more enjoyable. The higher price is absolutely worth it.
Rooms:
If possible, book a room with a view of the falls, it’s unforgettable. We could see the falls from our room, the balcony, and even hear them at night. The room was spotless, with twice-daily housekeeping, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
One thing to be aware of: monkeys. The hotel warns you for a reason, they will come onto balconies and can even open unlocked doors. We saw them raid another room, and one even grabbed our deck of cards! Just follow the hotel’s guidelines and you’ll be fine.
Pool:
The infinity pool overlooking the falls is amazing. It’s a little cool, but very refreshing after hiking. Service at the pool was excellent, staff were attentive and helpful every time we went, which was almost daily.
Food:
Breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of variety and made-to-order options. We also tried several restaurants at the hotel, and every meal was great. Standouts included the lomo sandwich, grilled chicken wrap, ribeye steak, risotto, and desserts.
Activities:
Being inside the park makes it easy to explore. We recommend doing the Lower Circuit in the morning and Devil’s Throat later in the afternoon to avoid crowds.
We also did a boat tour with Iguazú Jungle (separate from the hotel), which takes you right up to, and under, the falls. It was a highlight of the trip. Wear quick-drying clothes!
Service:
The staff was outstanding, friendly, professional, and very helpful. We especially want to recognize Carlos at the front desk (check-in and check-out), Zhoe and Marcos at the pool, Magdalena in the restaurant, and Diego the bellhop. They, along with many others, made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone we interacted with spoke excellent English as well.
Overall:
This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and staying at the Gran Meliá Iguazú made it even more special. We wouldn’t change a thing and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Iguazú Falls.”
