“The hotel itself was wonderful, but the staff are what truly made our trip. We are so grateful to have met such incredible people and would recommend Meliá Zanzibar for its exceptional hospitality and generosity. The views, rooms and service are incredible. However, in my opinion, what truly makes this a five-star experience is The Level. We hadn’t originally booked it and were disappointed with the main pool area and limited food choices for guests staying over seven nights. After upgrading, our experience completely changed, and the staff made it even more special. Lilian was genuinely the highlight of our stay. When my partner and I fell very ill, she looked after us, made us herbal teas and was incredibly attentive. She also remembered our drinks and favourite pool snacks from day one, often bringing them without us asking. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Twahir, one of the Level bartenders, was always smiling, friendly and happy to chat. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. Abdallah was consistently kind, patient and welcoming whenever he served us, while Andrea was always smiley, attentive and lovely during our meals. Fahad greeted us at the pool every morning with towels and often stayed for a chat. On our last day, he sang songs with us and made it truly memorable. Dailamii taught us a local board game, which became part of our daily routine. He regularly checked in to teach us new tricks, making it even more enjoyable. Bertha served us our drinks at the pool bar every evening and was always so lovely, kind and welcoming. Every one of these staff members deserves recognition. Their genuine kindness and warmth transformed our holiday, and we will remember them long after we leave. Although we had some initial disappointments with the standard all-inclusive experience, The Level and, above all, its incredible staff made our stay special. Thank you to Lilian, Twahir, Abdallah, Fahad, Dailamii, Andrea and Bertha. You are the reason we will remember Meliá Zanzibar so fondly.”
