“Una estancia que recordaré, sobre todo, por las personas.
Paradisus Gran Canaria es un hotel de cinco estrellas, y eso se refleja en sus instalaciones, ubicación, servicios y gastronomía. Pero para mí, lo que realmente marca la diferencia son sus trabajadores.
Y aquí tengo que decir algo: no he encontrado una excepción. Desde recepción hasta el servicio de limpieza, pasando por restauración, animación y todos los profesionales con los que hemos tratado, el nivel de amabilidad, cercanía y profesionalidad ha sido extraordinario. Siempre una sonrisa, siempre atentos y con esa sensación de que realmente disfrutan haciendo bien su trabajo.
No quiero mencionar nombres porque hacerlo podría parecer injusto con todos los demás, pero sí quiero destacar especialmente a Estefan, animador, showman y atleta, que transmite una energía y una simpatía enormes; y a Martín, el cubano, camarero que consigue algo tan sencillo y tan importante como hacerte sentir a gusto en la mesa, además de acertar plenamente con sus recomendaciones.
Recepción, excelente. Limpieza, impecable. Restauración y animación, magníficas.
Pero por encima de todo, me quedo con la calidad humana del equipo. Un hotel puede tener cinco estrellas, pero son las personas las que consiguen que el huésped se marche pensando en volver.

“Overall, we had a truly wonderful stay at Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria.
Arrival & Check-in:
The arrival was a bit of a bumpy start. We arrived around 10:00 AM, fully aware that official check-in is at 3:00 PM. However, even though we had booked The Reserve, we were checked in at the standard counter instead of the dedicated Reserve area. Initially, we were only shown the Reserve breakfast lounge, with no proper resort tour or orientation. Our first room became available around 2:00 PM, but my parents’ room was further delayed: at 3:00 PM, they were informed it would not be ready until 4:30 PM. The hotel handled this very well by offering them an upgrade to a Junior Suite—a gesture we really appreciated! Following that, we were also given a thorough tour of the gorgeous resort grounds.

Aside from the first day's delay, the rest of our holiday was fantastic thanks to the staff:
A massive thank you to Marta from Guest Relations! She looked after us throughout our entire stay, showing us around, recommending fantastic places to eat, and seamlessly arranging our day trip to Las Palmas, which included visits to the Arehucas Rum Distillery and a banana plantation. Her advice was spot on every single time!
A very special mention goes to Papis, who brought so much joy to our stay. Always attentive, incredibly kind, and welcoming us every day with a bright smile.
Another warm thank you to Orlando, our waiter at The Shack, for his consistently friendly, outstanding service—always delivered with a smile and great energy.
Dining & Overall Verdict:
The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept. The food was generally very good and varied. The only culinary downside was the coffee, which really leaves a lot to be desired and has plenty of room for improvement.
All in all, a memorable vacation made special by an exceptional team. We would gladly come back!”

“We stayed for a week booking a junior suite with sea view with reserve status
The room was large and well equipped with everything needed. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable. The bathroom set up is a little strange as it is part of the room. There is a curtain to obscure the double shower for privacy & the WC is separate.
The staff were very helpful and friendly with the exception of one hostess at Kana restaurant who was very rude.
The food is good with plenty of choice at the buffet restaurant. The à la carte restaurants become booked up quickly. The portions are quite small and the choice is somewhat limited.
The reserve pool area is quite small but we were able to find a sun bed when we wanted. The staff regularly brought round snacks and drinks and we were also able to help ourselves if we wanted.
We enjoyed the reserve beach area the double sun beds are comfortable but are very stained. The parasols are also very tatty & old. Staff here were friendly and helpful providing drinks, snacks & assistance.
We found the concierge staff very helpful and friendly particularly Sophie who helped us with reservations etc.
All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend. We did, however, feel that the 20 euro per hour for late checkout was a tad excessive,”

“Una vez más, nuestra experiencia en Paradisus Gran Canaria ha sido espectacular. La comida increíble como siempre, la habitación inmejorable y las instalaciones son una auténtica pasada. Es uno de esos hoteles en los que desde que llegas notas que vas a disfrutar.
Queremos hacer una mención especial al equipo de camareras de pisos. El trato ha sido excelente durante toda la estancia: siempre pendientes de lo que necesitábamos, facilitándonos todo rápidamente y, lo más importante, siempre con una sonrisa.
En Destination, Kevin se ha portado increíblemente bien con toda nuestra familia. Cercano, atento y dispuesto a ayudarnos en todo momento. Lo mismo podemos decir de Marta, que ha sido encantadora con nosotros.
En el restaurante Kana, queremos destacar especialmente a Jenni y Miguel. Da gusto encontrarse con personas que hacen que disfrutes todavía más de una buena comida.
En The Shack, mención especial para el magnífico Brahim: atento, simpático y un camarero súper eficiente y rápido. Y a su lado, José Peña, siempre tan amable y pendiente de nosotros. ¡Un equipazo!
En el buffet, Mila nos ha ganado completamente. Encantadora, tranquila, delicada y siempre con una sonrisa. De esas personas que, sin hacer ruido, consiguen alegrarte las mañanas.
Y en La Peseta, queremos destacar a Vicky y a todo el equipo de cocina. La comida y el trato hacen que la experiencia suba todavía un nivel más. Se nota muchísimo el trabajo que hay detrás.
Esta vez también nos hemos animado a probar un montón de actividades del hotel: Aquadance, mindfulness, meditación, Tabata y diferentes talleres. Y ha sido todo un acierto.
Antonio es divertidísimo y sus clases de Aquadance son de lo mejor. Imposible no pasarlo bien con él. Yuri, excelente con sus clases de meditación; consigue que desconectes de verdad. Estefan nos dejó KO con una increíble clase de Tabata 😂, pero repetiríamos sin pensarlo. Y Irene es alucinante, siempre pendiente de todo y con una energía increíble.
Y no podemos hablar de la piscina sin mencionar al que para nosotros es el alma de la piscina: el señor Papis. Siempre pendiente de que todo esté organizado, en orden y en perfecta sintonía. Está en todo, pendiente de todos y consigue que la zona funcione como un reloj, pero siempre con cercanía y buen humor. De esas personas que quizás no siempre están en primer plano, pero cuya presencia se nota muchísimo y marca la diferencia.
Al final, puedes tener unas instalaciones espectaculares, una habitación preciosa y una gastronomía de muchísimo nivel, pero son las personas las que consiguen que unas vacaciones se conviertan en un recuerdo especial. Y en Paradisus Gran Canaria hay un equipo humano enorme.
Nos vamos encantados, una vez más, y con algo muy claro: volveremos. ❤️”
