“My husband and I just returned last week from our 4th visit to the LEVEL. We brought our friends with us this time. We all loved it soooo much!! Every time we arrive at the resort we are in awe over the beauty of the property. It really is breathtaking. We were so impressed with the breakfast and lunch in Quimera!! The variety is unbelievable as they added even more choices and everything we ordered was scrumptious!!! My friends were delayed with their flight and the staff was there to look after them for a 9:30 dinner that lasted till 10:30 without any problems! That is special!!! The staff in Quimera are all amazing and when it comes to the bartenders Adriana and Carmen are superb. The drinks were all incredible!! I had them making me special low alcohol and low sugar drinks that were amazing!! My husband had all his favourites available at no extra cost!!! The food at the buffet was excellent quality and tons of options, but we prefer to be served in Quimera. Beef tenderloin, fish and pasta options were all excellent. Our Butler Nathan did a fabulous job of looking after all of our needs. He was so quick to respond any time we reached out and he was always checking on us. A few shows we saw were so well done, Michael Jackson, the Latin Show and the Acrobatic Show. We visited the Spa and the therapeutic pool was heavenly!! My husband had a massage which was top notch!! We all said that the next time we go back we want to come for 10 days!!! So here I go with some suggestions to even make the place better: 1. Another a la carte restaurant for dinners in very badly needed, especially if people stay longer than 1 week. Years ago, we so enjoyed the Riviera at the Caribe and I feel that at least 1 visit should be allowed for a dinner to the Caribe side. 2. The nearby boats docked are dispensing all kinds of garbage which is brought on to the beach and it needs to be cleaned more often. 3.The rooms are very spacious and well-appointed but they need more light, especially in the bathroom!!! Also, there is perfect space to put a small desk and chair in the empty space in the room and it really would be appreciated for people who are working virtually. (And yes, the room in the Quimera on the 2nd floor is a really nice addition!!) You still need something in your room to sit at with a computer rather than the couch. 4. The LEVEL section of the pool is so spacious and there is a ton more space for more cots. It was a bit annoying to have to be there before 7:00a.m. if you wanted to sit there. This would make a big difference if there were double the amount of places to sit in that area. 5. Calathea is a lovely addition, such a beautiful bar. But it has to have some food option there....nachos? pizza oven? tacos? hamburgers that are missed from the previous stand!!!?? chicken skewers?? It is very much needed to make people even happier at this bar!!! All in all, we LOVE this place and we look forward to coming back soon!!!”

“Level Junior Suit review: We upgraded our stay to the Level, and we were very pleased with our stay. I have broken down the review into sections to try and help you find what you need! The Level upgrade - upgrading to the level is not as expensive as other resorts that offer similar upgrades. The website states you receive a 30 massage each day with the level upgrade, but this is not right and it is just one free massage during you stay. You do however get free access to the spa facilities such as the sauna, steam room, wellness pool and jacuzzi. The free massage i did get was unbelievable (they are expensive if you pay for one). The rooms with the level are located near the main pool and beach, which are about a 15 minute walk from the main lobby, so location is much better with level. You also get access to the level rooftop bar, the level beach bar, the level pool area, waiter service by the pool and beach, access to Quimera restaurant for breakfast/lunch/dinner and also a butler service which was probably the best part of the level upgrade. Oliver was our designated member of staff and he was amazing. He sent us helpful info everyday via WhatsApp and booked all our activities and evening meals. He was so helpful and friendly. He also provided a bottle of bubbly and birthday cake when it was my partners bday. He was brilliant. Grounds/pool/beach - the grounds are stunning, really beautiful with hammocks and chill out areas spread out everywhere. The pool area and beach are also amazing. We didn’t visit the pool area near the main lobby because we were located near the main pool and beach, as well as the level building and level pool - so can’t comment on that. All other pools were great though, but maybe in need of a few more beds for guests. Bars and restaurants - the buffets for breakfast lunch and dinner (located at main lobby and by the beach) were all good. Lots of options, and food was ok. The food in Quimera as part of the level was easily the best restaurant, and their breakfast lunch and dinners were comfortably the best food on offer. We tried all the other restaurants and unfortunately they ranged from ok to very poor. Avoid the pasta and gnocchi, really really bad. The Vietnamese place was fine, but barefoot restaurant was also pretty poor. I spoke to a few guests who all agreed the resort could do with at least one more restaurant to the same standard as Quimera. The bars were all nice, and lots of different drinks on offer but they were pretty hit and miss when it came to quality of the cocktails. I tried a mai tai, a painkiller and a Moscow mule and they were all really odd and nothing like they’re supposed to be. The Moscow mule in particular was bizarre considering it’s just vodka and ginger ale? The gin and tonics however were always great. It’s a shame the draught beer was of poor standard, but the wine in the level locations were decent. Rooms - the room was very large and the bed was incredible! It could have maybe done with a lick of paint, as it was starting to look a little warn, but this didn’t impact our stay at all. Facilities/activities - there are regular “wellness” activities each day such as yoga, bike rides, palates etc. also painting on the beach and other “chill out” sort of activities. I didn’t really participate in these, but those that did looked like they were having fun. There is entertainment in the main lobby each night, but it is a much more chilled out vibe compared to most other all inclusive resorts in the area which is something you should consider. Definitely not a party place, although it was quite colourful on a few evenings at the lobby bar. You are also able to visit the neighbouring resort to use the casino there, and that was quite fun if you can get past the slightly basic appearance of the place. Staff - unbelievable. Not much more to say besides that. They were all absolutely amazing, incredibly friendly and very helpful. Overall- if you are seeking a chilled out trip in a beautiful location you can’t go to wrong with here.”
