Serengeti Nationaal Park

The name means “endless plain”. Located in northern Tanzania, this national park is world famous for one of the most stunning phenomena in the animal kingdom: the annual migration to new pastures.

It is one of the largest and most-visited national parks in Tanzania. The peacefulness and calm of its great plains dotted with savannas and forests is truly unique. A sanctuary for wildlife, Serengeti National Park is home to a huge variety of birds, mammals and reptiles. The climate is subtropical, with a dry and cool season followed by a warmer season. The park is at an altitude of about 1,100 metres, which helps reduce the sensation of heat.
