“The ME London is an absolutely stunning luxury hotel in the heart of the Strand. From the moment you walk through the doors, the beautiful décor and sophisticated atmosphere make it clear you’re in for a luxurious experience. I visited to attend a luxury brand market research session held in one of the hotel’s suites. The reception staff were welcoming and kindly offered me a drink while I waited. However, I did have to remind them of my 10:30am appointment, and once escorted to the correct floor, I found it a little difficult to locate the meeting room due to the darker décor and lack of clear signage. This was the only aspect that let the customer service experience down slightly as someone should have made the specific room number clear so I knew where to go. The suite itself was absolutely beautiful, and the setting made the experience all the more enjoyable. The hotel’s interiors are impressive, and its central location is ideal, particularly for anyone who loves London’s theatre scene. “Good Hotel, but Service Needs Improvement Overall, our stay at The Hey Hotel was pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, but unfortunately, the service did not fully meet our expectations for a four-star hotel. As younger guests, we sometimes felt that we were treated differently. Regardless of age or appearance, every guest deserves to feel equally welcomed and valued, especially when booking well in advance and informing the hotel of a special occasion. Check-in took longer than expected, and on several occasions, when returning from dinner, staff repeatedly asked, “Can I help you?” despite having seen us earlier. While we understand the intention may have been to assist, these interactions made us feel somewhat unwelcome. Breakfast was very good in terms of quality, but service was extremely slow, often taking between 60 and 100 minutes. We also experienced inconsistent charges. On our first morning, toast and bacon were included without any additional cost, but on another morning, we were unexpectedly told we had to pay extra. This was never explained beforehand, creating unnecessary confusion and negatively affecting the start of our day. Although we enjoyed the accommodations, these small but important service details affected our overall experience.
