Thank you for the great weather Sal. I'm currently sitting in the cold UK, with some rather horrible food poisoning from the food at Meila Dunas. Which was a massive down point. Although they have a massive section to choose from, it's clear they have quality issues. Most the food is luke warm even the chilled foods, hygiene issues also visible. With regards to the restaurants available on site. This is the same food served at the buffet, just dressed up, with some very odd flavours! Most noticeably cinnamon in the apple source with pork 😅 Next the rooms, which was well equipped for our holiday needs. However the cleaning could be more indepth around various areas. Our most grim part was no drinking water out in the room for 5 out of the 7 days. Even after asking staff multiple times. Not really acceptable. Also we are sure the bed was broken but couldn't confirm. Was a massive dip in the middle! The placement of the hotel is amazing, Santa Maria down the road 5 euro each way by taxi. Beach is amazing and some nice day trips on your door step. My greatest feedback would be much more training needed for your staff. Food is a massive red flag, with such needed reevaluation a must! Your restaurants could be great if the food was, the waiters where by far the best part! The bar staff need to learn to make drinks properly, more training needed. The bar for these basic requirements in Europe is fairly high, which is most if not all of your customers. Try to reach higher and people will be more likely to return. However, we will not be. No stress Cape Verde, a great country with amazing people and weather.

I can't understand the dramatisation of the criticism here. I stayed at this resort for a week with my family and the experience was fantastic! The staff are very friendly, organised and hard-working. I felt there was a variety of food on a daily basis and there were options to suit all tastes and cultures and the food was hot. Bottled water was delivered to the rooms every day and I never had to ask for it. The only real criticism I have would be for the group to invest in mosquito nets in the rooms and to have the option inside the rooms of when to change the towels and sheets to promote sustainability.
