“Paradise on Earth!! An absolutley fantastic stay at the Melia Whale Lagoon Resort. Everything from Airport transfers to food to entertainment and excursions were 10/10. Would 100% recommend. We stayed in the overwater villa and it was simply perfection. Clean, beautiful, fantastic amenities. Can't find a single fault! Very big thank you to Aman, Akbota, Zayan, Fatho, Nancy, and all the team across the resort, including the excellent dive centre staff (Thomas, Marty, Jay and others) and the Spa (Artita the masseuse who gave us incredible Balinese massages). The whole team went above and beyond for the Husband's birthday surprises - creating beautiful memories for us for a lifetime. “Unser zweites Mal auf den Malediven war anders als das erste, aber absolut grandios. Die Anreise erfolgte per Wasserflugzeug und die Begrüßung war sehr angenehm und freundlich. Die Anlage ist schön angelegt, die einzelnen Häuser sehr großzügig von der Größe geplant und mit ausreichend Abstand untereinander um genügend Privatsphäre zu haben. Das Essen ist super angerichtet, mit genügend Abwechslung und immer sehr gut was den Geschmack betrifft. Wir waren Ende März 2026 vor Ort und hatten gefühlt die ganze Insel für uns. Es waren rein vom Gefühl nicht ansatzweise 20% der Strandvillen belegt. Der Sand bzw. Strand wird zwar täglich gereinigt, leider sammelt sich im Laufe der Zeit doch einiges an Müll an. Die zwei Pools sind optisch super aber leider viel zu warm. Eierkocher passt besser als Pool. Alles in allem war unsere Zeit im Melia Whale Lagoon super und wir würden es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Zum Schluss: Bilder sagen mehr als 1.000 Worte 😍”

The water villa was stunning—crystal-clear waters, white sand, and incredible views every day. The staff truly made the experience: special thanks to Aman, Akbota, Zayan, Fatho, Nancy, and all the team across the resort, including the excellent dive centre staff (Thomas, Marty, Jay and others). A big thank you to Lisa, the General Manager, for the thoughtful birthday card and the amazing surprises arranged during our stay—from the room decorations to the spa and private beach dinner. All the places feel clean and very well serviced and everyone is very welcoming so it was a fantastic experience. “몰디브에서의 전반적인 경험은 정말 만족스러웠다. 풍경은 말 그대로 그림 같고, 바다 색감이나 자연 환경은 기대 이상이었다. 리조트에서 스노클링 장비도 대여해줘서 별도 준비 없이도 충분히 즐길 수 있다는 점도 좋았다. 다만 예약 당시에는 Barceló Hotel Group 계열이었는데, 방문 전 Meliá Hotels International 계열로 변경된 점은 다소 당황스러웠다. 별도의 사전 고지는 없었지만 계약 조건 자체는 그대로 유지되어 큰 문제로 이어지지는 않았다. 몰디브는 리조트 브랜드도 중요하게 고려하는 여행지인 만큼 이 부분은 아쉬움으로 남는다. 또한 한때 구글 리뷰에서 부정적인 평가가 많았던 것으로 알고 있는데, 현재는 상당수 리뷰가 정리된 느낌을 받았다. 직원 서비스 측면에서는 아쉬운 부분이 있었다. 전반적으로 직원들이 친절하지 않은 것은 아니지만, 기대했던 5성급 서비스와는 거리가 있었다. 특히 레스토랑에서 근무하는 직원 Rejin의 경우, 표정이 거의 없고 주문을 받는 과정에서 무시당하는 듯한 느낌을 몇 차례 받았다. 이틀 동안 세 번 정도 비슷한 경험이 있었고, 단순한 기분 탓으로 넘기기엔 반복적인 부분이었다. 결론적으로 자연 환경과 시설은 매우 만족스러웠지만, 서비스의 일관성과 직원 응대 부분은 개선이 필요해 보인다. 여끡밥듀 아쒑꼬 원랭 가섕뷔루 유먕핸 곧인뎅멜리야로 계열 바뀌먄서 가격창렬늒임 수즁환겨듀 그쟈그럐욥 직원들듀교윢 덜된 느낌 강햐서 갂음 기분 쫌 쎄함 이돈내꼬 여긔 머무를바엔 딴곳 고려하능거 ㅊㅊ”ดูรีวิวเพิ่มเติม
