“My partner and I stayed at Hotel MiM Sitges for a week and overall had an enjoyable stay. The location is excellent: just moments from the beach and within easy walking distance of Sitges’ LGBT quarter, with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops nearby. Check-in was quick and friendly, and staff took the time to explain the hotel’s facilities. Our room was spacious and well-equipped, with a large bed, Nespresso machine, minibar, bath and effective air conditioning. However, the hotel is beginning to show signs of wear. Wallpaper was peeling in several places, furniture was scuffed, one bathroom sink was cracked and a damaged tap leaked throughout our stay. The shower design also meant the bathroom floor became very wet after use. The rooftop bar is a real highlight, with good food, attentive service and a great atmosphere in the evenings. The pool is small but clean, although some of the decking has warped and could do with attention to prevent it from remaining a genuine hazard. The spa is a valuable addition, featuring a jacuzzi, plunge pool, steam room and sauna. Again, maintenance lets it down slightly, with exposed nails visible in parts of the sauna and a steam room that never quite reached the temperatures I’d expect. Breakfast was the standout experience. Laura deserves special recognition for her warmth, professionalism and genuine care. When my partner mentioned his gluten intolerance and lack of appetite one morning, she went out of her way to select suitable food for him to enjoy later. It’s staff like her who make guests want to return. Housekeeping was excellent throughout, and checkout was simple and efficient. Overall, this is a good-value hotel in a good location with excellent staff and facilities. What holds it back from a five-star review is the lack of maintenance. A little investment and attention to detail would make a significant difference.”
