Located in a magnificent natural environment in northern Spain, this romantic city is home to the most beautiful urban beach in Europe, La Concha. The backdrop for the prestigious San Sebastián International Film Festival.
Delicious cuisine on a movie set
Start to savour San Sebastián with a walk along the more than 4 kilometres of beautiful seafront promenade, home to some of the most prestigious restaurants in Spain. Alongside the Cantabrian Sea, a row of charming modernist buildings watch over the waves breaking on the beach. The walk around the bay ends at Ondarreta Beach, with the sculpture called El Peine del Viento by Eduardo Chillida. Next to the Zurriola Bridge and its beautiful Art Deco streetlights is a much more avant-garde building: the Kursaal Congress Centre and Auditorium, designed by the architect Rafael Moneo. The Old Town is the most charming district, a chaotic maze of cobbled streets with bars serving pintxos and tapas. A taste experience you must not miss in San Sebastián.
