“We went for lunch at the roof top. Excellent view and atmosphere. Food was good. Service requires to be looked into. Drinks - coffee and mocktails are good. Sangria was not good, the recipe required to be changed - full of sugar or they used cheap juice full of sugar and the drink was Tsh 75,000 which was served in a coffee plunger”

“Sunday all you can eat breakfast is 9.9 out of 10 times on point. You get great value for money unlike any other place in Arusha. We totally love it!”

“What an absolutely beautiful hotel! The view is impeccable! The food exquisite. Words can’t describe my experience at The Rooftop. The service was fast, food was delicious, the cocktails I had (the Moscow mule, tequila sunrise and pink colada) was really good and so was the wine. Definitely coming back here when in Arusha. Returned just recently to Gran Melia and found out that accessing the rooftop requires a minimum spend of Tsh. 45,000 per person. Other than that, the service remains impeccable and it’s also never crowded.”

“Beautiful hotel, with amazing views. Great idea to have sunset drinks on the rooftop. The cocktails we took weren't great though (we could barely taste the alcohol) and service took long, but at least we had the good view. The spa looked amazing too but unfortunately we couldn't try it out. The boutique selling the Tanzanite (House of Gems) was beautiful and the lady at the counter was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.”

“This is a beautiful hotel, located outside of the hustle and bustle of Arusha. The grounds are exquisite. They grow all the coffee served at the hotel onsite, along with some of the vegetables, and other items. The staff is exceptional in their kindness and helpfulness. The restaurant selections are great and you can't go wrong for a nice formal steakhouse dinner at The Grill. Should I ever return to Arusha, this is the only hotel I would consider. I'm looking forward to staying at another one of the Melia properties while on safari soon! I'd also love to give a shout out to Melissa, the food and beverage manager and Enoc, the loveliest server!”
