“Abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare al Gran Meliá Arusha e l’esperienza è stata semplicemente straordinaria. Fin dal primo momento si percepisce la maestosità dell’hotel: una struttura imponente ma allo stesso tempo raffinata, immersa in un contesto naturale che regala un senso di pace e bellezza rara. Gli ambienti sono curati nei minimi dettagli, con un’eleganza che non è mai eccessiva, ma sempre armoniosa. Ciò che fa davvero la differenza è la cortesia del personale. Ogni membro dello staff si distingue per professionalità, disponibilità e un’autentica attenzione verso l’ospite. Ci siamo sentiti accolti con calore, mai come semplici clienti ma come ospiti importanti. La pulizia è impeccabile, sia nelle camere che negli spazi comuni: tutto è ordinato, profumato e mantenuto con grande cura. Anche l’esperienza culinaria merita una menzione speciale. Il cibo è vario, di alta qualità e presentato con gusto. Ogni pasto è stato un momento di piacere, con sapori ben equilibrati e ingredienti freschi. Un hotel che unisce lusso, accoglienza e qualità in ogni dettaglio. Un luogo dove tornare, e che consigliamo senza esitazione”

“An amazing place to be”

“Gran Meliá Arusha was a fantastic base for starting our safari. The staff were very incredibly welcoming, polite, and attentive from the moment we arrived. Our room was very comfortable with an amazing view. We asked the hotel to arrange a late-night airport transfer for us and everything ran smoothly, which we really appreciated after a long journey. The food was delicious. We tried both the rooftop and the grill restaurants. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety. We also loved walking around the property and exploring the coffee plantation and the farm. Highly recommend for anyone beginning/ending a Northern Tanzania safari. It felt like a luxurious oasis.”

“Gran Meliá Arusha is truly an exceptional hotel it’s the little touches that make it shine. From restaurant staff to even the gardeners, everyone greets you warmly with a “good morning” or “how are you,” which instantly makes you feel welcome. We arrived hoping to have breakfast at the rooftop bar, but since it was closed until 10 AM, we enjoyed breakfast in the lobby instead. The service there was outstanding a wonderful lady looked after us with genuine warmth and a great attitude. Later, we asked one of the luggage staff if it was possible to see the rooftop view. Without hesitation, he offered to take us up and let us stay as long as we wanted. That gesture turned our morning into something unforgettable. The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking the highlight of our visit.”

“Did not stay here so cant comment on rooms, but come for a coffee and some brrekfast, it was really really good, we also came for the views feom the terrace, when we arrived it was closed as it opens at 10 but the staff where really friendly and actually incrrdible a real benifit to the hotel and they allowed us o go up tp see the views”

Toll geführt, schönes Ambiente, super Anlage mit einer unschlagbaren Pool-Landschaft, ausgesprochen höfliche, freundliche, aufmerksame und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Tolles Restaurant mit Riesenauswahl und RoofTop ar mit Wahnsinnsaussicht… mir fallen dazu nur Superlative ein. Allerdings: die Preise sind gepfeffert, auf europäischem Niveau - aber auch die Qualität ist westlich. Wenn man durch die Schranke fährt, ist man in einer anderen Welt.”

“Eins der schönsten Hotels, in dem ich ja übernachtet habe. Ein wunderschöner Garten, tolle, grosszügig geschnitte Zimmer und ein wirklich grosser Pool, der zum Schwimmen einlädt. Auch das Essen war fantastisch, ob nun am grossen Frühstücksbuffet oder beim Abendessen auf der Rooftop Terrasse. Und ich spreche hier für eine Gruppe von 31 Personen, die bei Euch übernachtet hat. Alle waren begeistert.”

His customer service was outstanding—attentive, professional, and genuinely caring throughout our time there. Frank is not only an excellent waiter but also a skilled bartender. He prepared a margarita that left my guest smiling with delight, thanks to its fantastic taste and presentation. His ability to combine hospitality with mixology truly elevated our dining experience. I highly recommend Frank for his exceptional service and dedication. He made our visit memorable, and I look forward to returning again.”

“Gran Meliá Arusha is an excellent hotel — everything is done to a very high standard. I say this with confidence, having travelled around Tanzania for several weeks. The rooms are very spacious; we had two interconnecting rooms, which worked perfectly for our family. There are several restaurants on site. The rooftop restaurant has great food, but service can be quite slow — with children, it took around 40 minutes for starters and almost two hours for dinner. That said, they also offer a buffet during high-demand periods, which we experienced on our second stay after the safari. The selection was very good, well prepared, quick, and ideal for families. The swimming pool is beautiful and very Instagram-worthy, though the water is quite cold, so keep that in mind. The gym is well equipped, and there is a sauna and hammam in the changing rooms (adults only), while the gym itself is available for teenagers. The hotel also has a lovely garden that is educational and enjoyable for children. Definitely worth exploring.”
