“Anfangs hatten wir ein paar Schwierigkeiten mit dem Zimmer, doch das Team hat sich großartig darum gekümmert und alles schnell gelöst. Am Ende konnten wir nur sagen: Wow...was für ein Teamwork und eine tolle Professionalität! Besonders bedanken möchten wir uns bei Oskar für den perfekten Service beim Abendessen und bei Claudia (Aura Manager), die wie eine gute Fee unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht hat. Klare Weiterempfehlung!”

“This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are spectacular at the front with the views and they have everything; extremely comfortable bed, extensive pillow menu, useful switches next to the bed, superb powerful shower, the nicest shampoo etc and soft towels. Air con easy to control, coffee machine and extremely well stocked minibar and things to eat. Downstairs is lovely too, I ate in the bar area and the service was excellent, really. Food and beer excellent and nice cold bottled water. It’s a nice ambiance there. I had a burger which really was good, I arrive too late (for me) to dine in the restaurant but I had a look at the menu and I was disappointed there had been a delay in my ferry that made me late. Breakfast too was 5 star ⭐️ wide range of food. Slight negative for me was the coffee machines which really did not make good coffee at least to my taste. This hotel used to have Nespresso machines which I think made better coffee The main exception to my positive comments is the reception operation. For a start the reception is difficult to find! It’s sort of behind the bar area if you enter from the front. When I arrived there was no one, like porters or anyone noticing I arrived. First off you come to concierge desk and the lady there pointed out where to go for reception. No offer so far to help with bags or parking. When I get to reception I am feeling confident as I did the online check in at the hotels request which claims you just have to turn up and get your key. This is a false claim. So I get to reception I say I have die the online check in and get asked for y passport fair enough. But the passport is taken and then lots of information is entered into the computer system and I wait patiently for a couple of minutes whilst this is done thinking why did I bother with the online check in. I am given my passport back but not my room key no. I am asked to pay €100 as a deposit. I was tired it was late. This was the last hotel in a long road trip and no other of the 30+ hotels had asked me this. It’s policy I am told as if this is justification for making me think that the hotel doesn’t trust me. There is no point arguing or asking how am I going to spend €100 it’s 9.20 and I am leaving in the morning. Next morning I check out. The hotel owes me money of course €70 odd. Because I had to pay €23 to park a motorcycle and some local taxes. I was not told about the cost of parking when I was told where to park The hotel takes ‘a few days’ to repay the money. So I leave with a bit of a bad feeling. I ask the girl at checkout if they have had lots of clients leaving without paying but get told nothing. They say it’s just a deposit but the truth is my bank,BBVa regarded it as money committed and so reduced the quantity of funds available to use. As I write this 2 days later that is still the case This policy in my view is offensive. In my case I had already paid the cost of the hotel months before. Surely a 5 star hotel should be able to trust it’s clients that have prepaid not inexpensive invoices. It’s an odd thing as I say not encountered in any of the other hotels in this trip or my last . I think one other asked to run the cars for €1 so they had my card details. I am totally fine with that. But being asked to effectively pay money( from my bank it is paid though of course the hotel says it’s just a deposit) I also found the reception staff to be of a very different attitude to the bar and restaurant staff. It may be a tough job working in reception here, but this is a 5 star hotel and every client should feel welcome. It’s an important client touch point that this hotel gets wrong and let’s it down”

“Had a very pleasant stay here. The front desk staff spoke fluent English, and the housekeeping team cleaned the room regularly and on time. One of the highlights was how convenient it was to arrive by car — you can pull up directly to the entrance and the staff will assist you with valet parking.”
