I recently stayed at the Melia Palma Bay, and while there were some positive aspects, the experience left room for improvement. Location: The hotel’s location is certainly a strong point. Situated just behind the beach, it’s easily accessible by foot, which is a real plus for beach lovers. Additionally, the city center is just a pleasant 20-minute walk away, making it convenient to explore Palma’s attractions. The harbor, which has a nice collection of bars and restaurants, is also not too far away, adding to the appeal. Check-In Experience: The hotel has implemented a new check-in system that allows you to complete the process online, avoiding any potential lines at the front desk. This is a great feature for those who prefer a more seamless arrival. However, staff members are still available to assist those who either prefer a traditional check-in or need help with any other requests. Hotel Design and Facilities: The hotel itself is simple and basic in design, but this isn’t necessarily a negative. The minimalist approach gives it a subtle sense of luxury. It’s worth noting that there’s no access to regular stairs, but the elevators are efficient and make moving between floors easy. The hotel also features a well-maintained spa in the basement, accessible by reservation. The spa facilities are well-cared for, and the activities offered are worth the money spent. Room Quality: The room I stayed in was very clean and kept in perfect order every day. Most things worked as expected, though there were a couple of issues with the shower. Occasionally, water could be heard dripping even when the shower was off, and more significantly, the floor was almost level with the shower. This design flaw caused water to spread across the bathroom floor every time I took a shower, which was quite inconvenient. Atmosphere: The hotel seems to be primarily designed for conference and business travelers, but I also noticed families and holidaymakers during my stay. Fortunately, the rooms are well-insulated from outside noise, ensuring a quiet and restful environment. Rooftop Pool and Service: The rooftop pool is where I encountered the most issues. While the pool area is clean and has a cool vibe, the space is limited, and access isn’t guaranteed. It might be better to have a system that prioritizes guests who have paid extra for access to ensure they can actually use the facilities. The bar service on the rooftop was disappointing. When I asked for information, one staff member rudely told me to get in line, even though I wasn’t there to order. Another staff member did the same without understanding my question. The lack of English-speaking staff in a business hotel was surprising, and their rudeness was unacceptable. To be clear, this critique only applies to the rooftop service; the rest of the hotel’s staff were professional and courteous. Check-Out: My experience with check-out also had a hiccup. The hotel allows you to charge services like the spa or restaurant to your room, but there was a mistake on my final bill. I was charged for a bar service I didn’t use. While the issue was resolved, I would highlight the need for a better system, perhaps using room keycards to ensure accurate room numbers. Overall Impression: My stay at Melia Palma Bay was okay, but I wouldn’t say it was worth the price. The hotel has potential and some strong points, but it’s not quite there yet. Small details seem to get lost, preventing it from reaching its full potential. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from staying here, but it might not fully live up to expectations at this time.

Un hotel muy bueno, cerca de la playa y con una piscina en el séptimo piso increíble. Lo único que le falta, es que hubiera servicio de comida y cena, ya que sólo te dan la opción de desayuno, aunque puedes solicitar comida y cena, por supuesto "pagando". En general todo muy bien.

Séjour exceptionnel au Melia Palma Bay ! Le personnel est très attentionné et chaleureux, emplacement idéal (entre aéroport et centre-ville de Palma), proche de la plage et desservi par plusieurs bus, parfait pour les personnes non véhiculées. Vue sur la piscine du rooftop incroyable et le bar/restaurant situé au même endroit est très appréciable. Hôtel moderne, propre, fonctionnel. Literie confortable, chambre spacieuse. Le spa super pour une escapade détente. Petit-déjeuner copieux. Un sans faute pour cet hôtel incroyable ! Tout était parfait. Un grand merci à l’ensemble du personnel si chaleureux et professionnel de tout mettre en œuvre pour nous faire rêver. Palma nous manque déjà tellement !
