“A mixed experience – could be great, but needs improvement Our family spent a long weekend at The Level. The hotel has good potential: rooms were spacious, clean, quiet, and beds comfortable. Most staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent — just a short walk from Bernabéu and about 20 minutes from the main attractions. Taxis are available 24/7, and the airport transfer took only 25 minutes even in rush hour. Unfortunately, several issues affected our stay. The air conditioning in one room was completely broken and couldn’t be fixed, so we had to change rooms late in the evening with kids. The safety box also malfunctioned, giving error messages while opening and closing, which was stressful with valuables inside. One day, we returned to find our room door left open — probably by housekeeping. Nothing was stolen, but it was worrying, especially since elevators work without key cards. For families, there were safety concerns: water from the taps was dangerously hot, and one child burned his neck in the shower. The sliding bathroom doors were also unsafe, as they close freely and can easily injure fingers — one of our kids got hurt. Staff at the Level reception were kind, though restaurant (at the Level lounge) service favored Spanish speakers. However, none of the issues were acknowledged at check-out, and no one asked how our stay had been — which was disappointing after such events. Overall, The Level could be a true 5-star experience, but due to these issues, it felt more like 3.5 stars.”
