One of the good hotels that you may stay not only for the holidays but for a week or more. The location is spectacular. The service is excellent from the gentleman had us. Mr. Licin, I as very respectfully and I do appreciate his kindness and service that we had. The hotel yes the rooms are a bit old. But it’s okay you may stay and have a sleepover with your family and friends. Very comfortable with lots of security that they have.

I stayed at the Melia Vendome, rue 8 Cambon, Paris, France. I was a solo traveller. I had asked for a top floor room with a view. I was given the 5th floor and no view. Carpet in the room was stained, which to me means a 2 star rating. I realize the building is older, but that is what I wanted, Vintage Paris, but honestly the carpet should be cleaned or removed as makes the room look dirty and certainly not a 4 star experience. The Toilette was disgusting. I thought a separate room for the Toilette would be great, but the Toilette Room is tiny and the wall was very close to the Toilette, so quite uncomfortable and not at all practical. Not to mention the Toilette Room smelled like a sewer. I mean why not install an air freshener? The highlight for me was Michel, Philippe, Eduardo and Alman. Great bartenders and front desk staff. The buffet breakfast was good, but pretty well the same choices every morning, which I thought a bit boring.

This was our first trip to Paris, and I couldn’t imagine a more elegant or wonderful place to stay. Its location was amazing. An easy walk to the Eiffel Tower, to Notre Dame, the Spanish quarter. And easy to get to the metro to get to other parts of the city. The rooms were amazing. Beautiful and comfortable. The staff was so kind and understand to a couple Americans who got confused, tried to speak our broken French, and were helpful. Absolutely wonderful hotel and incredible service. Side note, the fresh flowers in the lobby each day were a wonderful touch.
