“Bonjour avec mon conjoint nous passer 3 nuit dans cet Hôtel 5 étoiles , et le 5 étoiles est vraiment mériter un accueil super , le personnel de l’hôtel est incroyable toujours au petit soin de leur clients , très souriant grâce à vous nous avons passer un super wee end et un GRAND MERCI également au femmes de Chambre qui tout les jours font un travail exceptionnel. “After staying at this hotel for 4 days last year and absolutely loving it, our family could not wait to return and stay for a week. We absolutely LOVE this hotel and would give it 6 stars if I could. It is a Leading Hotels of the World and with good reasons. From the moment we arrived, Dennis was superbly attentive, warmly welcoming us and recognizing us right away. The red level is worth the extra costs as this allows you a personalized check in which comes complete with a glass of cava or beverage of your choice and provides access to fresh, delicious breakfasts, snacks and beverages throughout the day during preset hours. The bilingual staff allowed us to check in early into one of our two rooms as it was ready - that alone would be worth 5 stars and so deeply appreciated after the 8 hour trans-Atlantic flight. The rooms are impeccably clean thanks to their exceptional housekeeping staff who service your room twice a day and stock the rooms with everything you would expect in a 5 star hotel (two well stocked mini bars, fine toiletries, a steamer, readily available room and laundry services, ample glass bottles of water, a chocolate on your night table and more). There are three restaurants on site including the red level lounge which also has a sun room and private garden, the Grand Cafe and El Jardin de los Duques where Cesar will take fabulous care of you and guide you through the exceptional menu. The hotel is located in a quiet block so you will sleep soundly but within two blocks in any direction you will find something eliciting including the Royal Palace, the Opera, the great shopping at Grand Via and countless restaurants, bars, shops and local music venues. We caught a Frank Sinatra-Louis Armstrong tribute at Cafe Berlin which is about two blocks away. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to local restaurants and sites which we used to visit the Reina Sofia museum. It cannot be reserved but rather is available on a first come first serve basis. The gym is small but adequate and on the sunny days we got to enjoy the sunset from their private rooftop deck with a blooming herb garden (see photos). Lastly, we tried the Thai Spa for really exceptional massages and facials and it felt like an authentic Thai experience. Overall, I can’t imagine staying elsewhere during our future trips to beautiful Madrid and have become a loyal Grand Meliá member.”

“Hemos pasado unos días en el Gran Meliá Palacio de los Duques celebrando nuestro aniversario y la experiencia no ha podido ser mejor. El hotel es sencillamente espectacular. Su ubicación es, sin duda, uno de sus mayores tesoros. Está en un punto estratégico que te permite explorar el Madrid más auténtico a pie: en menos de 10 minutos estás en la Puerta del Sol y a solo 5 del Palacio Real. Ideal para recorrer la ciudad sin preocupaciones. Desde el momento de la llegada, se nota que estás en un hotel de 5 estrellas gran lujo. La atención al detalle y la calidad de los servicios son excelentes. Pero lo que realmente hizo mágica nuestra estancia fue el increíble detalle que tuvieron con nosotros. Al llegar a la habitación nos encontramos con una felicitación escrita por nuestro aniversario, acompañada de una botella de cava y unas fresas chocolateadas. Un gesto que llega al corazón y que demuestra el nivel de cuidado y cariño que ponen en su trabajo. Mención especial merece el desayuno buffet. Es de esos desayunos en los que no sabes por dónde empezar porque hay de todo y, lo más importante, todo es de una calidad excepcional. Da gusto encontrar productos tan buenos y una variedad tan amplia. En definitiva, ha sido un gran acierto elegir este hotel para una fecha tan señalada. Sin duda, repetiremos en cuanto tengamos otra ocasión. ¡Totalmente recomendable!”

“The Palacio de los Duques Gran Meliá exceeded my expectations. I stayed here for a night before continuing on to the Canary Islands and regretted that I didn’t have more nights. Upon arrival we were “welcomed home” and shown such lovely hospitality. The breakfast buffet was great and had a wide selection. Despite being a huge Marriott loyalist, next time I am in town I will go out of my way to stay here!”

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and comfortable. Every team member was attentive, warm, and eager to help. They even surprised us with thoughtful little gifts and compliments throughout our stay, and on the rare occasion something didn’t go perfectly, they corrected it immediately and graciously. There was always someone available — day or night — ready to assist with anything we needed. It felt like true luxury service. We experienced the Red-Level service and were incredibly impressed, but honestly, it felt like everyone was treated with the same care and attention. My husband especially loved the personal interactions with the staff; they remembered details about us and went out of their way to make our stay special. The room was spotless — impeccably clean every single day. The bed and pillows were unbelievably comfortable, and housekeeping did a flawless job. Everything felt fresh, calm, and relaxing. Breakfast was a highlight we never wanted to miss. The à la carte options were delicious and gave us the perfect start to each day exploring beautiful Madrid. The quality of the food and service matched the overall excellence of the hotel. The only small drawback during our stay was the terrace. We loved the open visibility above, however, because it doesn’t have a glass roof, we weren’t able to use it whenever it rained. A covered or glass option would make it perfect in all weather. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a memorable experience. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made this one of the most pleasant stays we’ve ever had. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly exceptional experience.”
