Hotel Paris Opéra Affiliated by Meliá

My wife and I have had such a wonderful experience at the Hotel Paris Opera, I’m writing this review while we are still here! I’ll start by saying the rooms are on the small size so if your plans are to stay in your room and watch TV the whole time you’re here, it might not be the place for you. That said, if you’re here to be in the center of the city and see all the important landmarks, it is the perfect place. The staff is amazing, with Ishara being front and center. He made sure we were comfortable and informed from the second we walked in the front door. He (and the rest of the staff) greeted us with a smile and a bonjour every time we walked in the door and then au revoir every time we left. This is our second trip to Paris, so we were comfortable with the city and public transportation. The Metro is literally steps outside the hotel front door. When you’ve walked 30,000 steps in a day and just want to crawl into bed, this is quite a luxury. The surrounding area is bustling with bars and clubs, and plenty of cafés to sit and people watch. This hotel has been a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it. Pro tip: There’s a small gelato place down the street called Amorino that was off the charts Pro tip 2: For breakfast/brunch try Eric Kayser Artisian Boulanger. The locals seem to love it too.
