“Un séjour agréable, mais quelques points à améliorerNous avons séjourné 10 jours dans cet hôtel. Globalement, nous avons passé un bon séjour, notamment grâce à la situation géographique de l’hôtel et à certaines personnes du personnel, mais plusieurs points nous ont tout de même déçus.
Concernant notre arrivée et la chambre, nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel le lundi à 10h30, alors que notre chambre était prévue pour 13h30. Nous avons donc laissé nos valises en consigne en attendant. Lorsque nous avons voulu aller prendre le petit-déjeuner, on nous a expliqué à la réception du restaurant que nous ne pouvions pas y accéder puisque nous n’avions pas encore notre chambre. J’ai trouvé cela assez étonnant et surtout frustrant, puisque nous avions payé pour 10 jours de petit-déjeuner et que, finalement, nous n’avons pas pu en profiter le premier jour.
À 13h30, nous avons bien eu notre chambre, mais nous étions au rez-de-chaussée alors que nous espérions avoir une vue sur la mer et la piscine, notamment au vu du prix de la réservation. De plus, il y avait quelques dysfonctionnements dans la chambre. Nous avons donc demandé à changer de chambre car nous ne nous voyions pas passer 10 jours dans ces conditions. Heureusement, nous avons été changés de chambre et nous avons ensuite été installés au 8e étage, avec une très belle vue sur la piscine et la mer. Les différents dysfonctionnements ont également été résolus. Nous tenons d’ailleurs à remercier particulièrement Carmen, de l’accueil, qui a été très gentille, très réactive et qui parlait français. Grâce à elle, le changement s’est très bien passé.
Concernant le ménage, il est réalisé un jour sur deux, ce qui est tout à fait raisonnable lorsqu’il est bien fait. Malheureusement, nous avons parfois eu l’impression que l’aspirateur n’était pas passé et que les sols n’avaient pas été lavés. Une fois, nous avons même trouvé l’aspirateur dans le couloir, et nous avons finalement passé nous-mêmes l’aspirateur dans la chambre. Mis à part cela, la chambre était propre dans l’ensemble.
Concernant la cuisine de la chambre, puisque nous avions uniquement la formule petit-déjeuner, nous avons fait à manger nous-mêmes quelques soirs. Il serait vraiment intéressant de prévoir quelques produits de base, notamment une ou deux éponges, du liquide vaisselle et du sel. Nous avons dû acheter nous-mêmes ces produits pour pouvoir nettoyer la vaisselle et cuisiner dans de bonnes conditions. Ce sont de petites choses, mais qui seraient vraiment pratiques pour les personnes qui prennent uniquement le petit-déjeuner et souhaitent cuisiner occasionnellement dans leur chambre.Pour les animations, nous avons particulièrement apprécié Gonzalo, qui est vraiment super, très drôle et très sympathique. Pour les familles, c’est également un très bon hôtel : il y a énormément d’activités pour les enfants. Même si nous n’avons pas d’enfants, nous avons trouvé que l’hôtel était particulièrement adapté aux familles.
J’ai également beaucoup apprécié Felipe, qui travaille dans le petit magasin de l’hôtel. C’est une personne vraiment adorable, très agréable et qui parle français. C’était toujours un plaisir d’aller faire mes achats dans le magasin car je savais que nous allions pouvoir discuter quelques minutes. Un monsieur vraiment génial ! En résumé, nous avons passé un séjour agréable, avec une excellente situation géographique et de nombreux équipements et animations, notamment pour les familles. Il y a cependant plusieurs petits points qui pourraient être améliorés, notamment le ménage, les jus du petit-déjeuner, les équipements de la cuisine et la prise en compte des clients français. Malgré nos déceptions à l’arrivée, le changement de chambre nous a permis de terminer notre séjour dans de bien meilleures conditions.”

“We have stayed here for 10 nights and I would like to pay tribute to some of the amazing staff!
Near every morning and evening for meal times, we had the lovely Lydia, always greeting with a sunshine smile and ever so helpful! She’s an absolute gem and a great face for greetings at meal times!
Felipe was very helpful in the hotel’s supermarket and always made us smile!
Jorge, our favourite barman never failed to ask how we were doing, and remembered our favourite drinks when there must be so much to remember! I think, David, (correct me if I’m wrong) is also an absolute gentleman!
Gonzalo has enough energy to power the whole hotel, I admire his passion and spirit to get everyone moving and involved!
The rest of the staff whose names I’m not sure of have contributed to our holiday, Gracias! And thank you for listening to my poor Spanish 🤣

“Overall, we had a very good stay at Sol Puerto Marina. The rooms are spacious, modern, and comfortable, and the sea view is a fantastic added bonus. The location is excellent—just a few meters from the beach—and the promenade right outside is lively, pleasant, and highly family-friendly, especially in the evening.
The food is generally of good quality. However, the international buffet can start to feel a bit repetitive after a few days. For anyone booking half-board, it is also worth noting that drinks are not included and must be paid for separately.
While being so close to the beach is a luxury, the cost of sun loungers (€9 per lounger) can add up quickly and felt quite expensive for a family. Similarly, the private hotel parking is very convenient, though the €22 daily fee is on the higher side. Additionally, there is no bus stop right outside the entrance, so you should expect about a 10-minute walk to catch public transport.
I do want to mention one unpleasant incident during breakfast regarding the smoking and non-smoking sections of the terrace. The issue was not the policy itself, which I respected immediately, but rather the tactless manner in which it was communicated by the staff member.
That being said, I would especially like to highlight the professionalism and responsiveness of the Guest Experience team. They took the matter very seriously, listened carefully, explained the hotel's policy clearly, and followed up quickly and professionally. Their excellent handling of the situation completely turned things around and restored a positive impression of the hotel.
In conclusion, [Sol Puerto Marina](https://www.google.com/search?kgmid=/g/1trrfkdn) remains a great option in Torremolinos for its location, comfortable accommodations, and beach proximity. With a few minor adjustments to the pricing of extras and a bit more variety at the buffet, it could easily earn a 5-star rating.”
