In a nice neighbourhood outside of central Barcelona, but it is easy to get into the centre. The hotel itself is not a 5 star at all. Needs a revamp. I've stayed in other Melia hotels and this does not meet the standard. The decor is strange and you cannot see out of the windows. It was like staying in a WWE steel cage. We had a water leak in our room at 4am. It was resolved in just over an hour, but we had no apology at all until we checked out 3 days later, which I thought was very poor. I'd expect an apology at minimum, maybe a complimentary drink or breakfast to say sorry. We also went up to the sky bar Cielos, but there were no staff to serve us.

I enjoyed my stay at the Meliá. Our room was clean and comfortable and within walking distance from plenty of shops and restaunts. The staff was very friendly and I really enjoyed the breakfast here.
