“We had a great experience at Paradisus by Melia in Nusa Dua Bali. The pools were great, and it’s truly a paradise for kids—a very family-friendly resort. The kids’ club was exceptionally good. Our kids didn’t want to leave and preferred staying there over anything else because of all the fun activities. It also gave us a nice break to relax, knowing they were well taken care of. Big thanks to Sasih, Graney, Maria, Novi, and Tya—they were amazing with the kids. The only downside was the food pricing at the restaurants, which felt quite high compared to other places in Bali.”

“I just returned from a 5 night stay at the Melia, having previously visited in 2023. The place is amazing post-renovation. There’s so much to do, especially for families with activities catering for everyone- from babies to teenagers. We were two families visiting with 4 children aged between 9months and 11 years old. The kids clubs are great and so is the gym. There’s padel, tennis and football courts. I tried morning yoga and pilates. Something for everyone. The beach was stunning. I’ll definitely return. The big highlight was the morning run club!m. My sons (11 and 7 years old) wanted to come so we met at the pool at 6.30am. Massive thanks to Ryan who sped ahead with the boys! And Tude who had to trail behind with me! They loved the cool down in the ice bath, after. Also a huge thanks to Febri at the pool who helped locate my kids water ball. Special thanks to David at breakfast for all of the coffee orders. All of the staff were so lovely and friendly and definitely were the highlight of the stay.”

“We have been guests at Meliá Bali several times in the past and were very curious to see the renovation. It has turned out exceptionally well. The beautiful elements of the resort have been preserved and are now showcased even more effectively. The family areas have been significantly enhanced, while still maintaining peaceful zones for guests without children. We are very happy to have returned and will certainly be back again in the future. Very well done!”

“We had a great stay at Paradisus which is located on what seems to this outsider the most luxurious part of the island. Of course, you pay a premium (outrageous by Indonesian standards) price for the pleasure. One of the best things about Paradisus is that everything is new since the hotel was completely remodeled with re-opening in February, 2026. Even the 5 star hotels show wear and tear very rapidly as a result of the tropical climate. There are other problems inherent with the near equatorial location. There biggest one was that the water in the ocean and all of the pools was bathtub warm and not refreshing at all. Of course, Meliá has no control over that. One of the best measures of any hotel is how they handle problems; the one problem we had was resolved very quickly. We had a mouse in our room (hey, it happens, see comments above re:tropical climate). When we told the front desk, the pest control and maintenance guys were waiting at our door before we could get back to the room. They found the hole where the mouse entered and plugged it. We had no more problems with him! Housekeeping was great and made our room up daily without interfering with our plans. The restaurant food was expensive, a little less than US resort prices and not very plentiful or particularly good. Pro tip: if you go to the beach and go all the way to the right while facing ocean and walk off property past the surf school, you will find about six beach bar like restaurants with much more reasonable prices. Service at all levels was outstanding and friendly—this may reflect my resigned acceptance of the almost universally poor service now provided in the US. All in all, a great stay in one of the best neighborhoods in Bali!”

“The hotel is excellent, especially for families. Everything is new, clean, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. There are four kids’ rooms (I counted!), and one of them is actually located inside the breakfast restaurant—which I think is absolutely genius. The main kids’ club is especially impressive: it’s huge, beautifully designed, and the nannies there are incredibly kind and caring. There’s also a brand new, large, and really fun water park with different zones for children. The territory is beautiful, and what makes it even more special is the wildlife: chubby ducks, pheasants, geese, a peacock, and even squirrels that come right up to your balcony asking for food and attention. The attention to detail is impressive—everything, including the amenities, is of excellent quality. I was honestly surprised to see real candles inside the outdoor lanterns. The beach itself is quite affected by tides, which sometimes makes it unsuitable for swimming. However, if you keep an eye on the tide chart, it’s absolutely fine. There is also a good surf spot right in front of the hotel, with several more nearby. The beach is very well maintained and constantly cleaned, so it’s always in great condition. The rooms are new and very comfortable—no complaints at all. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Meliá Hotels International is definitely becoming one of my favorite hotel brands.”

(Translated by Google) An experience I would repeat in a heartbeat. The Meliá chain is always a guarantee of quality, offering all the necessary services to satisfy guests. This resort is very similar to the Paradisus Riviera Maya I already knew; they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions or address any needs, especially the waiters at the Jungle Bar and Peseta restaurant: Nurjaya, Pablo, Apri, Puja, Dewi, Nisa, and Dina. I apologize if I've missed any names, but I must highlight their kindness and attentiveness to all of us. I also want to thank the young Chef Pablo Cazalla for his work in the kitchen and his willingness to chat with us after dinner, which was much appreciated. We wish him luck in this new project. Thank you for everything; I would return without hesitation.”

“We have just returned from our trip to Paradisus, where we joined family from all around the world for an annual meet up in Bali. We were overall happy with our stay at Paradisus but feel there are many things that need improving on. The renovation of the Meliá hotel is beautiful, it has several amazing (but expensive) restaurants and a great pool area, we had small children so the main pool area was perfect for their little legs, as well as the adults that could lounge on the pool beanbags in the same area. The staff being balinese locals were undoubtably the friendliest, happiest people ever. I do think that there is a lot of room for improvement though, I had laundry at the reception that I asked to be brought to my room several times over a 4 hour period, eventually I went down myself to collect it. We also requested our luggage be moved to a new room (we changed room half way through the stay when some family members went home) and again this was not collected, 3 hours later I went back to the old room and collected it myself. I received a WhatsApp 1 hour after I collected it to say it has now been collected. The first 2 days at breakfast were very quiet and the staff attended to us amazing. On day 3 a cruise ship arrived which completely overwhelmed the staff, we ordered coffee’s several times and chased them up several times during our breakfast and none arrived. The coffee station was mounded up with drinks and the staff could not serve them fast enough to please everyone. The tea pots tha we ordered everyday arrived cold, so the teabag would not soak. The rooms were presented beautifully, the design was very fitting with the surroundings of nusadua. We did have a problem with dampness in the room though, we had the aircon set to 19 and the balcony door always closed but there was a constant damp feeling to everything in the room, this made it very uncomfortable to get into bed. The bedding/towels felt like they were wet. The second room that we moved to also had a musky damp smell to it, the staff did call up and ask what the smell was like, so I assumed it was something that they were already sorting out. My father injured himself on a bike ride during our stay and the pool staff that were first to attend to him and the medical staff that treated him were amazing. I can not fault how quickly they acted, how professional and caring they all were. They even left a message on the bed, wishing him a speedy recovery with a chocolate desert. The on-site medical facility made it very quick and easy to get any treatment done and spared us the trip to the hospital, Thank you to the staff that treated him. I have stayed at several of the 5* resorts around this area/uluwatu and think that there are better options for the price you pay, although the resort is beautiful, south bali has many resorts, where the stays have been perfect.”

“We finished off our stay in Bali at this property and it was the perfect way to end our holiday! The stay was amazing especially Adi and Juli… food was good, but a little pricey. If you are looking for a chilled beach vibe in Nusa Dua, The Reserve is the way to go. During breakfast - Dewi took such good care of us and the barista, April, does art with her coffees! I just met with Oka and Arta they are the best! Arta was teaching us the language and taking care of us while Oka spent time making me feel comfortable while we talked about America and how to relax! These are the people tha make your resort a 5 star place!!! Cheers”
