A gift for the senses
Baa Atoll is formed by about 75 small islands in a 40km wide ring with an interior lagoon that is open to the sea. In fact, the word 'atoll' comes from a Maldivian word that means 'reef'. On the surface, the colors seem to be taken from postcards of tropical paradise, but the seabed is home to an even more fascinating world, with caves, seagrass beds and submerged islands, home to some 1,200 species, including coral, fish, turtles, manta rays and sharks . The enormous biodiversity of this corner is a dream for scuba diving and snorkelling fans. On some of its islets, exceptional hotels blend in harmoniously with their natural environment, offering holidays of exclusivity and privacy and offering numerous water sports, always subject to strict regulations that guarantee respect for nature and making each visit a place in the purest beauty of the Maldives.
