Calvià

Calviá is a municipality in the Balearic Islands. It is located in the western part of the island of Mallorca, near the Sierra de Tramontana mountains, and extends to the Sierra de Na Burguesa. Its location in the southwest of the island makes it an ideal place to stay and discover the surrounding tourist resorts, beaches and mountains. Andratx and Puerto Portals are only a few minutes away. Magaluf, Santa Ponsa and Paguera are also nearby. The proximity of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains allows easy access to a large number of routes for hikers and mountain bikers. For people not bothered about trails in the mountains, there is also a bike path that winds it way around the whole of Calvià and provides a great choice of easy cycling tours. Ten of the many impressive beaches in the area have received a blue flag for quality from the Environmental Education Foundation. This all makes Calvià a dream destination for people who love the sea and beach and who want to discover the region. Calvià has something for everyone: from dynamic Palmanova and Magaluf to quiet and elegant Andratx. Puerto Portals is one of the most well-known marinas in Mallorca and is a great place to shop or just enjoy a coffee in a beautiful setting. There is also a choice of golf courses in Calvià and several more in the surrounding area.
