Some people compare its busy seafront promenade to a small Miami Beach. Although burgers are obviously replaced by fried fish and sardine skewers. With the sea on one side and beach bars and shops on the other, the seafront in Torremolinos is always a place which is full of life. Activities for kids are organized in the pedestrian streets around the city centre, while the steps of El Bajondillo, with the building façades decorated with flower pots, is a beautiful route to take down to the sea. Los Álamos Beach is one of the most popular and beautiful of all the beaches, with its white sand and palm trees bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Another nice thing to do in Torremolinos is walk down Calle San Miguel and along the Cuesta del Tajo to see the Torre de Pimentel in the background.
