“Exceptional Stay at Meliá Pattaya Hotel
Our stay at Meliá Pattaya Hotel was absolutely outstanding and exceeded every expectation. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, spotless, and perfectly located. The rooms were comfortable, the amenities were excellent, and the service was truly world-class.
What made our stay unforgettable was the incredible staff, especially David. A few days after arriving, I realized I had left my brand-new BTS jacket in the vehicle that had picked us up from Bangkok Airport. I was extremely upset and thought it was gone forever. When I mentioned it to the front desk, David immediately took ownership of the situation and went far above and beyond what I would have expected. He made calls, tracked down the vehicle, confirmed that my jacket had been left in the car, and arranged for it to be brought all the way back from Bangkok to Pattaya. I was absolutely amazed by his dedication and determination to help. His exceptional customer service turned what could have been a very disappointing experience into one of the highlights of our trip.
Another standout team member was Chef William. Every day he recommended different dishes and encouraged me to try foods I normally would never try. Thanks to his suggestions, I stepped well outside my food comfort zone and discovered several new favorites. One of the best recommendations was pineapple skin tea. I had never heard of it before, and now it's one of my favorite drinks. If you stay at Meliá Pattaya, be sure to ask Chef William about trying it hot. It is absolutely amazing!

“⭐️ Meliá Pattaya — The Level One Bedroom Suite

Meliá Pattaya is a well-designed, mid-sized hotel with attractive contemporary interiors. The swimming pool is particularly impressive, and the One Bedroom Suite is spacious, comfortable, clean, with a large bathroom, comfortable bed, excellent view, and a good-sized bathtub. The sofa, however, is rather firm, and a separate his-and-hers vanity would have been a nice addition.
⭐ Service — The Highlight
Service is undoubtedly the hotel’s greatest strength.
The service throughout the property was consistently outstanding. Staff were warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely willing to help. What impressed me most was the consistency of this service mindset across different departments—not just from one individual.
The Level Lounge was exceptional. Khun Aekky and the entire team were genuinely welcoming, knowledgeable, and highly attentive. They also assisted very well with facility arrangements and reservations. The Level benefits are good, although the food selection could be more varied and could include more Thai-inspired options. The lounge itself is relatively compact and could be further elevated in terms of luxury and exclusivity.
🍳 Breakfast
Breakfast offers an extensive variety suitable for different tastes and age groups, with international and Asian selections, an egg station, noodle station, desserts, and a separate The Level selection.
Highlights included Grilled Pork Neck, Garlic Fried Rice, Eggs Benedict, Salted Egg Lava Bun, and Shrimp Wontons. The bacon was excellent on Day 2, although consistency between batches on Day 1 could be improved. The Level breakfast was enjoyable, but the selection was largely unchanged across both days, so greater variation would be welcome.
🍽️ Lay Beach
The Pad Kra Pao with Fried Egg at Lay Beach was one of my favorite dishes during the stay—bold, spicy, savory, and well-balanced.
I also tried the same dish at the hotel’s Thai restaurant for comparison. The difference was quite noticeable: the Thai restaurant version looked lighter and tasted considerably milder and less flavorful.
If you enjoy bold Thai flavors, I strongly recommend trying the Pad Kra Pao at Lay Beach.
💆 YHI Spa
YHI Spa was another highlight. Special recognition to the Manager of YHI Spa and Khun Pond, who provided a warm welcome, clearly explained the services, and remained attentive throughout the visit.
The spa is relatively compact, but the excellent service and experienced, skilled therapists more than compensate for its size. There are also a variety of attractive promotions for in-house guests.
🚗 Facilities
Parking capacity is adequate, but the lack of covered parking is a weakness in Pattaya’s climate. Adding covered parking would significantly improve the guest experience. Some facilities could also be further refined to better match the hotel’s premium positioning.
⭐ Overall
Meliá Pattaya may not compete purely on scale or extravagance, but it succeeds where it matters most: genuine hospitality, attentive service, and a well-rounded guest experience.
The people are what make this property memorable. The service mindset, warmth, and genuine care demonstrated by the entire team truly stand out.
If you are looking for a hotel where service and hospitality are at the heart of the experience, Meliá Pattaya is definitely worth a visit.
I would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pattaya—especially those who value genuine hospitality, personalized attention, and consistently excellent service.”
