“El gran valor del Meliá Plaza reside en dos pilares indiscutibles: una ubicación verdaderamente inmejorable en pleno centro de la ciudad y la calidez de su equipo humano, que hace que la estancia sea sumamente agradable. Mención y agradecimiento especial al personal encargado del servicio de desayuno en la terraza exterior, siempre atentos y eficaces. En el plano de las instalaciones, al edificio le vendría muy bien una actualización estética y funcional; una reforma que modernice las habitaciones permitiría optimizar mucho mejor los espacios y elevar el confort general al nivel que merece su excepcional enclave.”

“Fantastic hotel, fantastic location… just don’t touch the water!
Meliá Plaza Valencia is one of those hotels where you arrive and immediately think, “Yep, we picked the right place.” The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s very close to the main train station, the Central Market, major attractions, bus stops, and pretty much everything you want to see in Valencia. It is also extremely easy to find, which is a surprisingly underrated hotel feature when you’re dragging luggage around and questioning every life decision that led you there.
The hotel itself is excellent. Clean, comfortable, and packed with premium amenities. Everything feels luxurious and well maintained, and the overall experience is exactly what you would expect from a quality hotel in such a prime location.
Now, about the customer service…
I think “customer service training” should perhaps be added to the staff training program, especially at the front desk and breakfast room.
Here’s the amusing part. At the lobby, there are bottles of water with a small paper glasses sitting right there near reception. You know the setup. The kind of thing virtually every hotel has for guests arriving, waiting, checking in, or simply looking like they have crossed a desert.
When we were in the lobby with our suitcases my kid took a glass of water.
Suddenly, a hostess came running over as if we had activated the hotel emergency alarm.
Apparently, the water was not for hotel guests. It was for restaurant guests.
Now, I’m still trying to understand the logic here. If the water is exclusively for restaurant guests, perhaps putting it beside the hotel reception desk is not the best place for it. Maybe a small sign saying, “WARNING: HOTEL GUESTS DO NOT DRINK” would help.
Honestly, it was one tiny glass of water. Nobody was attempting to drain the Valencia water supply.
It was such an unnecessarily awkward interaction that it really stood out, especially because everything else about the hotel was so good. A little courtesy and common sense in dealing with paying hotel guests would go a long way.
Overall, though, this is a fantastic hotel with an unbeatable location, beautiful facilities, cleanliness, and all the premium amenities you could want. We really enjoyed our stay.
Five stars for the hotel and location. Four stars for the water. Zero stars for the Water Police.
Hopefully, the hotel invests a little more in customer-service training because the property deserves staff service that matches the quality of the hotel itself.”

“Very friendly and attentive staff throughout. Our room 801 was quiet and serviced very well. Airconditioning cooled the room well. Breakfast is a must. Excellent location with shortwalks to some must see venues and restaurants. Won't disappoint.”
