“I really enjoyed my stay - really well appointed with guests clearly in mind (so refreshing to have an easy to use shower with controls positioned so you're not instantly soaked in freezing water when you turn it on), tastefully decorated throughout and really excellent staff. Special mention for the young fellow who showed me to my room (I'm afraid his name escapes me - he's an Arsenal fan if that narrows it down). So overall, excellent and I will definitely stay again. Sole reason for only giving 4 stars instead of a full house was being asked to pay an extra 5% "service charge for the room" on checking out. Please stop doing this. I know you're not alone, and I know it's discretionary, but it feels completely wrong to ask for more money for something that you've already paid for. But overall, a great experience.”

“Si lo que quieres es alojarte en un lugar que cumpla con los siguientes requisitos, este es el lugar idóneo para reservarlo: - Seguro - Tranquilo - Buena comida - Staff amable - Cadena hotelera Española Ubicado en el barrio de Kengsinton, a escasos metros, tenemos la boca de metro de Gloucester Road (llegas en 45 minutos de la T5 de Heathrow) y conecta prácticamente todos los lugares imprescindibles de Londres para hacerte tu propio top 5 o top 10. La parada de guaguas está en la misma zona, línea 74 te llevará a Oxford Street o a Madame Tussauds. Recomendable venirte con alojamiento y desayuno, ¿por qué? Porque quien se quiere perder el maravilloso y delicioso desayuno del Rte. Hispania, comida altamente de calidad, variada y sabrosa. El staff lo forman 3 chicas, trabajan super bien, muy eficientes y siempre siempre con una sonrisa. La habitación, es algo pequeña, pero cumple con los estándares precisos, ya que vas a estar todo el día fuera cumpliendo con los quehaceres de un buen turista. La cama es cómoda y la habitación está en perfecto estado, limpieza diaria muy bien, reponen agua y unas galletas como snacks, café etc. El hotel cuenta con gimnasio, lounge, rrss etc. El hotel en definitiva es un lujazo, pero el lujo reside explícitamente del pedazo de staff que lo conforma en sí. De primeras, con quien realmente uno se cruza es con el Dpto de Recepción, las chicas son… increíbles. Tuvimos la suerte de conocer a Paula que nos hizo el check in y nos dio unos maravillosos tips para ir a comer y que hacer en nuestro viaje, a Ruth nuestra valenciana, que es un amor de persona, nos hizo el seguimiento de nuestra estancia en todo momento y siempre siempre con su mejor sonrisa. Y como no, la Gex Experience, Elena Tamargo, que maravilla… no tenemos palabras para describir el pedazo de aprecio que le cogimos en nuestros 5 días aquí. Gracias por toda la gestión que hiciste por nosotros, por ese mega regalazo de cumpleaños que nos diste y sobretodo por la amabilidad infinita e incondicional que nos ofreciste en cada momento sin recibir nada a cambio. Por cierto, solicitad algún día un Room Service, la comida y el trato del personal es espectacular. Acompañado de una cervecita victoria Málaga va perfecto. Gracias Meliá London Kensigton por habernos tratado como reyes en nuestra estancia. Lo vamos a recomendar a todo aquella persona que quiera degustar de un Londres infinito. Un saludito de la hab 219 :)”

“Oppholdet på Melia London Kensington var fabelaktig. Hotellet er i en vakker viktoriansk bygning. Rommene og fellesarealene er vakkert innredet og lukter veldig godt. Alt er godt vedlikeholdt. Bodde i en fantastisk juniorsuite. Denne var praktisk utformet siden vi var 3 stk på rommet. Den tredjepersonen fikk en egen liten avdeling med sovesofa og eget bad med walk-in dusj. Deilig med håndkle-varmer på badet. Eneste lille ulempen var at dynene var litt tynne og det trekker litt fra vinduene. Men hotellet løste dette elegant med at vi fikk en ekstra dyne. Må spesielt nevne det vennlige personalet. Alle var så hyggelige og serviceinnstilte. Spesielt takk til Carolina som håndterte ønskene for oppholdet i forkant. Du gjorde oppholdet ekstra bra! En perle av et hotell i London og jeg kommer veldig gjerne igjen.”

“Un'esperienza al top, un'equipe professionale e disponibile dal check in al check out e oltre. Io, il mio compagno e il nostro bambino di un anno abbiamo passato una notte in questa favolosa struttura. È stato bello farci viziare, hanno pensato a tutto per il nostro bebè ed è stato davvero bello. La camera era spaziosa, pulitissima e super fornita, la posizione dell'hotel è strategica per accedere. A qualunque quartiere della città in comodità.”

“Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war stilvoll, geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Hotel ist nicht super zentral, aber dafür die Anbindung zu gleich 3 Ubahn Linien sehr praktisch.”

“We made a last minute reservation for a 6-night stay at the Melià when the hotel we had booked months earlier cancelled us at the last minute due to renovations. This was a great find and were pleased to have made the change. It was an excellent location and we had a very comfortable room (Junior Suite). The staff stood out for their warm and attentive service—they were always courteous and eager to help with anything. Breakfast is good (not superb) but the restaurant staff is excellent. We would definitely stay there again.”

“Hemos estado en el hotel todo muy bien, la habitación un poco pequeña, pero por lo demás todo súper limpio . “Mi familia y yo pasamos el Fin de Año en Londres. Y, para nuestra estancia, elegimos el hotel Meliá London Kensington. Todo un acierto: por las instalaciones, por la limpieza, por las habitaciones, por el desayuno y, sobre todo, por la profesionalidad de todos sus trabajadores. Queremos felicitar especialmente a la española Elena Tamargo, ejemplo de profesionalidad y empatía. Se preocupa del más mínimo detalle para que te sientas como en casa. ! “We are Meliá employees in Portugal and we took a 5-night trip to London. We decided to stay at this hotel because of its very central location. Whenever I see employee bookings at my hotel, I always try to allocate a good room. I don’t believe they have the same mindset. We stayed there for 5 nights and were given a very small room. For two people staying five nights, the only place to store clothes was a single drawer. The hotel is very well located and the building itself is very nice, but that’s about it. Apart from that, I don’t really have anything positive to say. I didn’t interact much with the staff, but the few interactions I had were pleasant. However, the breakfast was extremely poor. For a 4-star hotel, it was far below expectations. There were only two types of bread, a few hot items, ham and cheese, yogurt and some toppings — not to mention that the so-called “pastry selection” consisted only of croissants and chocolate-filled pastries, nothing else. Our room was cleaned by housekeeping, which was fine, but after the room had already been serviced and someone had already been there, there was always another person knocking on the door just to check the minibar. How does that make sense? I’ve always worked in hospitality, and the housekeeping staff usually check the minibar while cleaning the room. You don’t send another person later just to knock on the door to see if anything was consumed — it feels quite unprofessional. Another thing: we were resting, thinking, “Okay, the room has been cleaned and someone already came to check the minibar, so no one else will come.” Of course, I was wrong. A lady came knocking on the door asking, “Do you need any service?” If I needed something, I would ask for it. Their way of operating is a bit unusual. On top of that, there was a constant noise in the room, like some equipment or machinery running nonstop. Even with the air conditioning turned off, the noise was still there, which made sleeping quite difficult. Between the poor breakfast, the constant knocking on the door, the noise in the room, and the room we were given (perhaps because we are employees and paid a reduced rate — it felt more like a storage room, we even had the vacuum cleaner permanently outside the door), the hotel fell short of our expectations. Other than that, it is very well located.”

“Me encantó el hotel y sus trabajadores, fuimos mi niño de 8 años y yo durante 4 días, y la pasamos muy bien, está cerca del metro. Sin lugar a duda, si vuelvo a ir, sería mi primera opción, lo único malo, el baño, no tenía ni cómo darme la vuelta, pero nos la apañamos, el lavabo muy muy pequeño, no tenía donde poner mis cremas y demás cositas. Pero insignificante”

“Overall a great hotel with an amazing area. The pros. Great location. Rooms have great amenities. The staff at the front desk were good. Paula stood out as she checked us in and seem genuine and friendly. Cople of the guest sevice gentelmen were also great. House keeping was good. Breakfast had all the essentials yet missing fresh fruit. The cons. At checkin the hotel tried to give me a room on the first floor. Even though they had sent me an email 5 days prior to ask how they can make my stay better. My first request was high floor away from elevator. Yet the manager said i gave you high celling room on the first floor? As i mentioned no and mabe because am a silver member? No we are sold out. As i was checking my app and mentioned you have rooms avIlable. They change the tone and said in your category we are sold out. How ever a room suddenly appeard. The Bed are uncomfortable it is like sleeping on the springs. At breakfast we asked for omlett and Neli said we do not do wite egg omlett? You have choise of fried egg or omlett. So i aske karen the manager and she said no problem. 2nd day we asked for the same, and Neli again said no today is different chef and he will not do it. I mentioned if you could do it yesterday you can do it today? and the 20 year old Rolled her eyes and walked away some one else brought us the eggs but all in pieces. This is not how you treat guest. I have been in the industry for over 25 years and have never treated any guest that way. From that moment we were ignored. 3rd day did not even ask for eggs as did not want to be treated wrongly. Never seen a hotel offer eggs but no egg white? The staff at the retaurant need to understand Guest are who creat business. The only suggestion is, if you do not want to cater to guest needs do not ask what you can do to make the stay more comfortable. The front office manager Thomas does not like to hear complaints or suggestions. He only wants to hear everything is great. So how do you improve the business if your not willing to listen.”

“Hôtel magnifique, personnel très sympa et souriant. La chambre pour personne seule est vraiment cosy, seul point négatif que j’ai eu, c’est une chambre hors palier, c’est à dire la chambre se trouve dans les escaliers de secours ce qui peut parfois être embêtant pour le bruit quand les gens montent ou descende surtout au 1e d’étage. De plus, j’ignore si c’est uniquement au premier étage mais quand même pas mal de bruit venant de machine pour chauffer (ou j’ignore quelle type). Le lounge est top et ça sent bon partout donc très agréable. Petit plus, une grande bouteille d’eau est offerte à l’arrivée et également un thé découverte est déposé chaque jour dans la chambre pour le déguster.”
