A good way to start discovering Marbella is in the morning with breakfast on Avenida del Mar, which connects Alameda Park to the seafront promenade with its 10 bronze sculptures by Salvador Dalí. Alameda Park is at the entrance to the old town, whose central hub is the Plaza de los Naranjos. Surrounded by white Andalusian-style houses, everything in this square revolves around its Renaissance-style fountain. Calle Ancha is a beautiful and elegant 19th-century street with houses with large balconies full of flowers. The Plaza de Santo Cristo is home to the best flamenco performances in the city.
