Sol Tenerife

Ok, so I just returned from hotel Sol Tenerife. We spent there 6 nights, myself and my 15 years old daughter. After reading all the comments and reviews I was about the change the hotel few times, but then we decided to give it a go. I've never booked hotel with so many mixed reviews, and so many bad ones. Here are my thoughts: - Yes, hotel is a bit dated, you can see stains on the corridor carpet ,  some furniture is scratched, BUT everything is very clean, smell fresh and it's pleasant. - We've booked sea view room, and got room number 775, block B, with the most amazing sunsets and views in general - The reception was friendly, didn't have the feeling they are slow or unpleasant - The room is small, but it had all what we needed , comfortable bed ( clean) , big wardrobe,  bathroom ( yes,bit dated especially bathtub,  but again clean). They cleaned the room every day, changed the towels every time we needed. There was no issue with hairdryer,  water power and all the other stuff people mentioned. I personally didn't see any bugs and not even a single cockroach. - Food is ok, it's good, always plenty of choice. I wouldn't say it's the best one I've ever had , but it's acceptable. - Pool is cleaned every morning and yes, everyone is placing the towels on the sunbeds to " reserve them" every morning, but that's what people do, not hotel rules. I think it shouldn't be allowed but...it is what it is. Actually on my last day the lifeguard took out all the towels from not used sunbeds at around 10 am, and I think that's fair. - There are plenty of tables,  chairs, so even if you don't get a sunbed you can spend the time over there, close to a pool bar - Noise- yes, the hotel is located just a step from Veronica's pubs, disco's and karaoke and it can be loud.We didn't have any issues , we've heard music at night but it wasn't to loud or something really annoying. I believe people who have balcony side to the sea,  so front to the street can complain because it is loud. You are in the centre of a night life , it's definitely not a calm area, so that's your choice. - The hotel is safe, there are security people on duty all the time, so I don't think you need to worry about the safety but when you walk at night just around the corner, be prepared to see many young men selling not only the sunglasses. - There is an ATM at the lobby, washing machine in the pool area,  safe in the room ( paid separately), small fridge, kettle...we went all inclusive,  so didn't really use it. - Yes  there is only one socket in the room, I didn't find it uncomfortable or annoying but if you have more stuff to be charged at the same time, it will be challenging. - Entertainment is great, there were some amazing ones and there were some less interesting,  I wouldn't say it is a perfect hotel for small kids if you are looking for evening kids disco or something like that ( in January).There are kids clubs by the pools ( one is heated ), so that's OK for kids, but in general the majority of the customers here are adults. The staff is very friendly and trying to entertain everyone. Yoga or pilates classes are available every morning. They were great . - Taxi takes approx 20 minutes from the airport , paid 36€ at night and 30€ on our way back.

The hotel is amazing highly recommended next to the sea The food and drink is great and the staff are very friendly. But the neighbouring bars are playing music to 4am. Also there’s only one plug socket so it takes a while to charge our electronics. Other than that I will definitely come back here with friends and family

Un hotel con mucho ánimo el buen servicio

Hier ist die angepasste Bewertung: --- Mein Lieblingshotel auf Teneriffa! Ich war vor zwei Wochen schon hier im Hotel, und war so begeistert, dass ich direkt nach zwei Wochen wiedergekommen bin – und es hat sich absolut gelohnt! Mit Translator, da ich kaum Englisch sprechen kann und spanisch schon gar nicht😂 trotzdem wussten einige Mitarbeiter von der Beach Bar was ich wollte… Ohne Worte wusste die eine und andere was ich brauche und wie ich es mag. Dankeschön 🙏 Das gesamte Team ist unglaublich freundlich und herzlich, man fühlt sich hier einfach rundum wohl. Besonders die Beachbar hat es mir angetan: Die Mitarbeiter dort sind super nett, und die Atmosphäre ist einfach traumhaft. Das Essen im Hotel ist abwechslungsreich und mehr als ausreichend. Beim Frühstück hätte ich mir vielleicht noch ein bisschen mehr Auswahl an Käsesorten gewünscht, aber das ist wirklich nur eine Kleinigkeit. Nos ha encantado. Mucha limpieza y rápida además, ya que cuando volvíamos de desayunar estaba todo hecho, tuvimos que hacernos al horario del comedor ya que no son los nuestros habitualmente, pero todo nos lo han puesto muy fácil. Íbamos con idea de descansar y lo hemos hecho. Nunca un mal gesto ni siquiera cuando el niño sangró por la nariz y dejó un trabajo extra para los de la limpieza, a quienes agradezco su comprensión y ayuda..En recepción nos han ayudado en lo que hemos necesitado. Tuvimos un pequeño incendio esa semana en el comedor y todo el personal estuvo pendiente de la gente hasta que se solucionó. El personal del comedor atento siempre y muy agradable, los camareros de la piscina han sido cercanos, agradables y pendientes de la gente que necesitaba que le ayudaran como algún señor con dificultad para moverse, y siempre con una sonrisa. Los chicos del mini club maravillosos, uno de ellos nos ha coincidido un día con dolor que se le veía la cara hinchada y aún así, la mejor actitud y paciencia con los niños, mi hijo ha pasado una semana de aventuras y experiencias que no olvida. Una mención especial para Dani, que con sus ocurrencias y locuras ha hecho que para Pedro sean las mejores vacaciones de su vida. Gracias por todo. Hemos estado allí la semana del 12 diciembre, una semana que nos ha coincidido de mucho viento pero ha sido todo increíble..Espero no haber olvidado a nadie... A los socorristas que también han sido muy pacientes con el niño y sus mil preguntas....
