“Visited for a couple of 2M beers with a great view across Maputo Bay. Service in the Sky Bar by Marcus is exceptional, he is charm and professionality personified. Well worth a visit for beers at very reasonable prices. Give my best to Marcus if he is around.”

“Hotel is clean and centrally located, with amazing and relaxing view of the sea. The soundproofing is great, you don't hear anything from outside. Centralized AC is very quiet. Housekeeping staff did excellent job, our room always fresh and clean everyday for the whole 2 weeks of our stay. We love the welcome fruit platter the next day. The staff are always helpful, courteous and friendly. Shoutout to Marcos for teaching me some portuguese at breakfast, he is amazing and gives friendly vibes. Only small issue with the toilet flush that got disfunctional i think around 5 times so I always had to call for maintenance. Also the complimentary bottle of water in the room , always only 1 given while we were 2, so I always had to call reception to have another one. I also suggest that the backdoor at the 1st floor leading to the parking can be accessed by the guests without calling the reception. Maybe access card can be used) so that the guests can easily access the parking area (no need to call the staff to come up to open the door or go down and exit the hotel and use the othet entrance of the building (we found it a bit of inconvenience). Overall our experience was great and I will definitely stay again at Melia on our next visit.”

“Very impressed by this hotel. Maputo doesn’t have a ton of newer hotels, so this one checks that box. It’s also very easy to walk to the downtown (though or does require quite a few stairs, lol). The octopus was amazing at the restaurant & the breakfast, waitstaff, and hotel staff were friendly & had great customer service! Thanks!”
