“We had a wonderful stay here. The staff were courteous and friendly. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, though it took some time for our dinner to be served. I wish we could have stayed longer.”

“Ngorongoro crater was the last stop of our safari, and this lodge made sure it ended on a high! Every day of our safari kept getting better and better, but when we arrived here our jaws actually dropped at the view and architectural beauty. Flaviana welcomed us expertly and was really helpful answering all our questions! The meal we had on the outside terrace was by far the best meal of our trip, and there were some good ones leading up to it so completion was tight! The manager Ignacio was so knowledgable about the area and spoke to us for ages about the lodge, it’s history and Tanzania’s culture too! You could tell he really makes the time to create a spectacular experience for everyone. Eddy our server was also beyond incredible! He took our photo like a professional and we also joked around about our favourite animals. The staff are a true asset to the Lodge. The view from our room was also stunning, we felt so lucky to be there, even if it was just for one night.”

“A delightful stay at the brand new Melia Ngorongoro - highly recommended. The staff is genuinely pleasant (and plenty of staff around as well) and management is visible as well. Everyone checks in with you frequently to ensure your stay is meeting expectations. Rocio was especially front and center ensuring our stay was smooth. The views are stunning from your room but also the restaurant. Truly a unique stay with the views of the crater but in a new luxury product. When the nights are cooler, there are heat lamps and blankets around to keep you comfortable. Truly every amenity was well thought out. Of course, fantastic game driver into the crater, at times convenient for us. We had a seamless journey coordinated by the hotel from JRO to Ngorongoro onwards to Serengeti and back to JRO. The F&B does need some work (no menus, all verbal..wasn't sure what the entire menu of options was at breakfast). Though, again, the staff was so pleasant it was an easy new opening growing pain to overlook. To note - there is a small room for fitness equipment but the pool is not yet open (still being built).”

César y Rocío nos atendieron increíblemente, atentos a cualquier necesidad y anticipándose a todo. Un placer en todos los sentidos. Ojalá podamos volver.”

“De regreso del Serengueti y recordando todavía la experiencia vivida en el Lodge Meliá Serengueti, se nos abren las puertas de acceso al Ngorongoro Lodge Meliá Collection esto es lo mismo a que te abran las puertas del cielo!!! el mismísimo cráter del volcán a tus pies!!! Ante tus ojos, en toda su extensión!! De verdad, es necesario tomarse un respiro, pararse a retener ese momento inolvidable. Nos recibe César, el director y Rocio la front of house manager para darnos la bienvenida y enseñarnos las instalaciones. El staff nos brinda un baile para nuestra agradable sorpresa mientras nos ofrecen un refrigerio, gracias chicos!!! Lo recordaremos forever 😍🎉 increíbles instalaciones, increíble servicio, increíble cena e inolvidable experiencia. Un día para el recuerdo.”

“The experience at Melia Ngorongoro was amazing! It’s worth noting that this is a new hotel and the attention to detail is just incredible and on another level - from the details on the dining tables and in the restaurant, to the wooden/earthy colors used in all areas (you feel all items placed are luxurious and they reminded me of Zara Home items), to the blankets being offered directly (as it was cold), to the artist painting live beautiful art of animals, to the beautiful views of the crater… and so much more! This place is just like luxurious heaven in *cold* Ngorongoro, they have several chimneys, beautiful suites and great staff (especially the manager). Don’t forget to bring thick clothes, jackets and beanies with you, as this hotel is located at the top of the mountain and the temperature was around 10 degrees at night and in the morning and we were freezing - luckily it gets warmer when you reach the crater at the bottom. Once again, thanks Melia for making our honeymoon memorable!”

La vista desde cualquier punto del hotel está entre las más plácidas que conozco .. todo el cráter para ti .., casi todo es madera a la vista y una gran terraza donde disfrutamos de una cena con César siempre atento a darnos la mejor bienvenida y atenciones .. Es de estos hoteles que te estás yendo .. y miras atrás diciendo .. “volveré”!! Gracias Meliá por hacer posible un lugar así”

“La ubicación del hotel Meliá Ngorongoro es simplemente increíble. Esta situado en la cima del cráter, lo que permite tener una vista impresionante. El diseño y la decoración del hotel son de muy buen gusto, logrando un equilibrio perfecto entre muebles modernos y el encanto local de Tanzania. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y cómodas, luminosas y tienen todo lo que necesitábamos para una estancia agradable. El manager del hotel, Ignacio, fue super atento y se acercó a todas las mesas durante la cena para conversar con los huéspedes, lo cual nos hizo sentir bienvenidos y valorados. Durante nuestra estancia, tuvimos la suerte de disfrutar de una cena exclusiva para nuestra luna de miel. La mesa estaba decorada con buen gusto y colocada frente a una acogedora chimenea. Durante la cena, incluso tuvimos la suerte de ver un búfalo que paseaba por el jardín...fue una experiencia única. Queremos expresar nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a todo el personal del hotel Meliá Ngorongoro, por su hospitalidad y amabilidad. Hicieron que nuestra luna de miel fuera verdaderamente inolvidable. ¡Mil gracias a todos!”

“No hay pantalla de cine que iguale las vistas desde la habitación de este hotel. Si a ello le sumamos la profesionalidad de todos los integrantes del equipo de este complejo, situado a más de 2000m de altura y que se descubre después de atravesar la selva, podemos concluír que es una experiencia maravillosa. En lo personal, compartir una videollamada con mi mujer, desde España, mientras un grupo de babuínos pasaba por delante de la ventana de la habitación es algo que no olvidaré jamás. Sin lugar a dudas, una de las joyas de este hotel es si vista al Cráter y entorno de vegetación donde simplemente llegando la tarde puedes ver elefantes o bufamos a pocos metros de tu mesa. Disfrutar de una comida con esa panorámica es una experiencia inolvidable. En resumen, el Melia Ngorongoro lodge combina comodidad, servicio de primer nivel y vistas impresionantes para ofrecer una experiencia de 5 estrellas que perdurará en tu memoria. ¡Altamente recomendado! También destacar que pueden reservar con ellos un safari privado al parque nacional Ngorogoro y disfrutar de un servicio de lujo en uno de los safaris más espectaculares del mundo. “Absolutely stunning views, great staff, clean and renotaved rooms, heated pool and an Asian fusion restaurant in the middle of Tanzania’s most famous parks. Ally was amazing, you should try his special drinks. Ignacio, the manager was very warm along with the rest of his staff. Ignacio, print some menus that should help people complaining about the iPad. Thank you for a memorable stay and the hospitality. My only regret was not staying longer!!”

“The most insane view I have ever seen. What a gorgeous place from all angles. Amazing infinity pool to see the sunrise (only pool in all Ngorongoro!!). The food was unbelievable. Cannot recommend enough. Great fusion from Indian, Mediterranean, East African. The quality of the food is unmatched and the hotel staff very helpful and ready. The hotel manager, Ignacio, was incredibly attentive and kind. Him alongside his team they made our stay a perfect experience. The place is newly renovated. It combines a vintage european vibe with a modern and african soul. The in-house made bathrobes, bags for the hairdryer…. SO CUTE. The details were carefully planned and gave a feeling of being in a home rather than a hotel. Out of all the hotels I have stayed in the continent (around 15) this one was at the top. Be ready for wind and slight chill at the top of ngorongoro though, it will be colder in the park than expected.”
