“This is a cashless hotel. Bring your cards & mobile money. 1. Breakfast is worth your money, you get peace quiet and delicious options @ 60,000 Tzs for a walk in. 2. Tried the pool bar outside, ideal for bird watching ( resident bird ; Kingfisher ) 3. The Meru View is to die for. The mountain is picturesque in the evening. 4. The service is abit slow during the peak hour( Sunset)”

“Abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare al Gran Meliá Arusha e l’esperienza è stata semplicemente straordinaria. Fin dal primo momento si percepisce la maestosità dell’hotel: una struttura imponente ma allo stesso tempo raffinata, immersa in un contesto naturale che regala un senso di pace e bellezza rara. Gli ambienti sono curati nei minimi dettagli, con un’eleganza che non è mai eccessiva, ma sempre armoniosa. Ciò che fa davvero la differenza è la cortesia del personale. Ogni membro dello staff si distingue per professionalità, disponibilità e un’autentica attenzione verso l’ospite. Ci siamo sentiti accolti con calore, mai come semplici clienti ma come ospiti importanti. La pulizia è impeccabile, sia nelle camere che negli spazi comuni: tutto è ordinato, profumato e mantenuto con grande cura. Anche l’esperienza culinaria merita una menzione speciale. Il cibo è vario, di alta qualità e presentato con gusto. Ogni pasto è stato un momento di piacere, con sapori ben equilibrati e ingredienti freschi. Un hotel che unisce lusso, accoglienza e qualità in ogni dettaglio. Un luogo dove tornare, e che consigliamo senza esitazione”

“Le Gran Meliá offre un cadre exceptionnel. L’intérieur est superbe, et le rooftop avec vue sur le Mont Meru est encore plus impressionnant. En revanche, le service ne suit pas le niveau affiché. Lors de mes visites, les serveuses ont été systématiquement en difficulté : connaissance de la carte quasi inexistante, accueil froid, anglais très limité. Par exemple, en demandant la différence entre un fudge cake et un cake, la réponse a été “il y a une boule de glace”, ce qui résume le niveau d’information transmis. Troisième visite et même scénario : smoothie à l’avocat indisponible. Plusieurs desserts indisponibles également, y compris le dessert signature et les glaces. Il n’était que 19h30, j’imagine difficilement la carte à 21h30. Les plats sont très chers pour ce qui est proposé, et les desserts, explicitement non faits maison, sont hors de prix. Je reviendrai pour la vue, mais en tant qu’agent de voyage international et négociateur aérien indépendant, je ne peux pas, à ce stade, demander une visite des chambres ni recommander l’établissement comme un véritable 5 étoiles. Cet avis passera à 4 ou 5 étoiles après une formation sérieuse du service, et l’ajout d’au moins un dessert fait maison.”

“An amazing place to be”

“I would like to preface this review by saying that we came here after leaving the Melia Serengeti Lodge, which was absolutely perfect, stunning, gorgeous and smelled so amazing! This hotel was our 4th hotel during our stay in Zanzibar & main land Tanzania and was the first time we felt as if we were just in a hotel. The room had an oder to it and I had to spray it down with Lysol spray and scrub down the shower area. The food that was included with our stay at the buffet was okay. The roof top lunch was superb! The gardens and all of the information about how they harvest their own coffee beans was amazing to see. I loved the outdoor areas. Beautiful hotel grounds with great service! Just please take extra care with the smells and cleaning of the rooms and bathrooms.”
