Spain’s first dawn in Menorca

Sail through crystal clear waters watching the sunrise from a traditional Menorcan llaüt. Visit the Isla del Rey with a guided tour of the Hauser & Wirth gallery and its surroundings, admiring sculptures by Gary Simmons, Stefan Brüggemann, Eduardo Chillida and Pipilotti Rist. A tour where you will experience the harmonious connection between the Menorcan community and the island’s local landscape.

Thanks to its geographical location, the island of Menorca is the place of Spain from which to say good morning and admire in a unique way the first sunrise. An exclusive experience offered by Villa Le Blanc Gran Meliá as part of the “The art of good living” collection. Aboard a llaüt, we will sail through the reddish and crystal-clear Menorcan waters to Isla del Rey, where we will visit the Hauser & Wirth gallery and its surroundings.

Few natural shows are as extraordinary as the sunrise in Menorca.

Imagine being the first to observe the brightness of the sun peeking out over the horizon and sailing the Menorcan seas aboard a llaüt (a small traditional Latin sailing boat formerly used as a fishing boat).

An exclusive experience that begins in the hotel lobby to take you to the Mahon marina first thing in the morning, and where our traditional boat will be waiting for you just before sunrise, to start the activity and enjoy one of the most special sunrises in Menorca.

Once the sunrise is over, the llaüt will sail to the beautiful Isla del Rey, home of the Hauser & Wirth gallery in Menorca. A museum with 8 art galleries, a path around the museum with outdoor sculptures by Gary Simmons, Stefan Brüggemann, Eduardo Chillida and Pipilotti Rist, as well as a garden designed by Piet Oudolf, with native perennial plants and others adapted to the Mediterranean climate.

There, we will have the opportunity to take a tour of the Hauser & Wirth gallery and its surroundings with an expert guide, a world full of artists whose vision is expressed through colour, minimalism and creativity, and which will allow you to learn about contemporary art and the local Menorcan landscape.
