Craftsmanship on the rise

As a leisure alternative, pottery has re-emerged in the city, attracting more and more public attention. This is not a new activity, since the capital was the only Spanish city which used to host a porcelain factory in the second half of the 18th century and the first half of the 19th century. From where the stew pots of Alcorcón, the huge jars of Colmenar de Oreja, and the casseroles and cooking pots of Navalcarnero came from.

A car will pick you up and take you to the Salamanca neighborhood. There, Eve, owner of Eve's Pottery, will welcome you to a craft space that revolves around ceramics, a material closely linked to Madrid and Spanish culture. Eve will show you the space and her work, but she will also chat with you to find out what kind of piece you would like to make. Once you get down to work, Eve will guide you through techniques the art of modeling, materials and enameling, giving you all the basics and tips of her craft and explaining how this primitive material has evolved to the present day.

What does it include?: Private transportation to and from the hotel, private workshop, brunch, and delivery of the crafted piece to the hotel.

Once the workshop is over, the experience will continue with a brunch inside the workshop. Afterwards, a car will take you back to the Palacio de los Duques.

Eve will send your artwork to the hotel once it is ready.
